As if this state, or any other need a reason...Hopefully it turns out better than it sounds right now!!!

An armed man took three hostages during an "active shooter situation" at a California veterans home Friday afternoon, a fire official said.

Earlier, it emerged that the veterans home, described as the nation's largest, was on lockdown after reports of shots fired.

That's just over the hill from me a few miles. So far, no reports of any injuries or fatalities. Let's hope they get it resolved without any.

Coming for the Veterans guns next. It will be blamed on the Social Security gun ban being lifted. Already talking about PTSD.....

The Yountville veteran's home has a pretty good inpatient program for veterans who have had problems with PTSD. Apparently, this suspect was in that program and was kicked out a couple weeks ago.

Next they'll raise the age of when you can buy a firearm to 95. Yeah...that's the ticket!

Damn...RIP ladies!

Napa County officials identified the slain hostages as Christine Loeber, 48, executive director of Pathway Home; Dr. Jen Golick, 42, a therapist; and Dr. Jennifer Gonzales, 29, whom Pathway Home identified as a psychologist with the San Francisco Department of Veterans Affairs Healthcare System.

With all of the calls for more and better mental health services, this just points out that is not necessarily the answer either.

It's not the complete answer, but it is an important component IMO.
