Looks cool but also like putting together a wallmart entertainment center times 1000. I bet that could be really frustrating.

I didn't see anywhere that they ran any electric or plumbing. It would be easiest to do that while you are building it.

Not to mention insulation. You couldn't keep that thing warm up here in the winter.... no matter how big your wood stove is.....
I bet that things 20 grand plus. I had the Amish build me a similar size cabin for 6 grand. Then We wired it and insulated and finished the inside ourselves

Did you see them pour insulation in the walls? 6ā of insulation plus 3ā of wood.

I looked at it again and didn't see where they insulated it... am I looking at the right video ?? The entire thing is in French, right ??

They poured wood shavings in from the top. Iād love to be able to afford one of those 19th century cabins that are rebuilt. Watching the show where they are tearing down old hewn log homes to remake them. Amazing what they went through in the 1800s to build a home. The head guy of the show explained why they went to hewn logs instead of round logs. In wet areas rain runs down into the cracks in the logs and they rot.

Are you talking about the "Barnwood Builders" show ?? Those guys are doing great things preserving those old logs.....
