Police were chasing a young man that was reportedly out breaking into neighbors cars. Police arrive and helicopter tracks him. He jumped fences and ran head on into two officers. One officer peaked around the corner and yelled show me your hands a number of times. In his hand was a cell phone. I don’t know if he was trying to record them or what? One of the officer saw something in his hand and yelled gun. The guy was was shot and killed. Everything about WHY this could have been prevented is forgotten.

4. When you realize the helicopter is telling officers where you are lie flat on the ground with hands empty. Now BLM protestors shut down the interstate yesterday. Then last night protestors blocked the entrance to the Sacramento Kings arena.What the protesters didn’t realize is that protesting at the arena was one step too far. The news newscasters at he channel showing it we’re showing their disdain for the protestors. They felt they had gone to far. Quit interesting that they can ruin a persons travel and work day by blocking the freeway and that’s ok. But block a recreational sporting event and they’ve gone to far. Congrats to the protesters for polarizing your cause.
Easy solution; force these protestors to be a prison guard for a day...or sit them next to a cop on a ride along....and make them go up to the window alone on a few suspicious vehicle stops in the dark.
The infrared on that chopper was fantastic. I didn't know it worked that well and game wardens have shown me what they use.
All this over the top #SJW nonsense is actually working against their fondest desires.
Example: several cities in CA have not only decided to ignore state law WRT protecting illegal criminals, but also have joined the court case against sanctuary cities.
And, if not going against the state dictate to protect illegal criminals (Paulie and your et. al. identities...being illegal is a crime), there is a new approach to getting around the state law:

Orange County, Calif. Sheriff Sandra Hutchens can’t give information about inmate’s release dates directly to ICE because of a state “sanctuary” law, so she says she’ll give it to the public instead.
Hutchens announced on Monday she will put all county jail inmates’ release dates online to get around SB 54, a law that took effect on Jan. 1 and now prohibits local law enforcement agencies from cooperating with immigration authorities.
“The legislation specifically prohibited local law enforcement’s communication with Immigration and Customs Enforcement on the release of certain undocumented offenders,” the Orange County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement. “This provision of the law increases the likelihood of dangerous offenders being released back into the community. The law, however, does not limit information that is available to the public.”
Instead of refusing to give information about release dates to ICE, the OCSD said it will put that information on the existing “Who’s in Jail” portion of its website.

That sucks. Cop has to live knowing he killed someone, kids family doesnt have him any more (maybe they didnt though - he was breaking into cars after all). That sucks all around.
Yea when a cop shouts repeatedly and gives you orders, you should listen and comply. Running and disregarding commands just heightens and elevates the situation to whole new levels. I dunno seems it’s a bad deal for all sides involved. And all the protests and marches that result just escalate these events and are not necessary. They should be more planned and thought out and have a true meaning, instead they all act barbaric and ignorant.
There was a city council meeting tonight about bringing in an impartial investigator to review this case. Not good enough. Grandmother screaming on the news that if they aren’t prosecuted they will riot. Good old crap stirer Al Sharpton is coming to do the eulogy. It’s going to get ugly.

After first saying StephonClark had a gun, then changing it to a crowbar, then admitting he just had a cell phone, we now learn that the Sacramento Police shot this man 20 times in his own backyard. And he had a cell phone in his hand.
But Dylann Roof Who shot up a church was apprehended peacefully & Given a McDonald’s happy meal.
Florida shooting suspect was not shot once. But a young black man holding a cellphone is shot 20 times. Young man who was bombing homes in Austin ... He wasn't shot once. But an unarmed black man holding a cellphone is shot 20 times?
Shot 20 times is the risk you run when you're stupid and you're engaging in illegal activity.

He didn’t comply? The police never identified themselves. He was in the dark, in his own yard with men running at him, guns drawn. Was he given a chance to comply? As soon as they yell their commands, the shots are fired. Evading arrest is a misdemeanor in C.A. it’s not punishable by death. Someone running from police is not posing a death threat to police. Watch the video again and ask yourself if what happened was reasonable and proper.

On Jan. 17, 2011 he was in foot pursuit of a burglar...... when the suspect stopped and turned around and shot Officer Nehasil dead.

If they perceived that the suspect had a gun in his hands then it changes the whole scenario. The suspect should have emptied his hands and put them up. His actions that night caused the end result.

Foot pursuits are dangerous. Officers risk their lives to catch people like that suspect who commit crimes against ordinary citizens like you. If you don't want us to risk our lives to chase thieves and burglars then don't ever call 911.
Not to put you in an awkward position and i wouldn’t wish it on you, but would you fire if put in that situation and would you give the suspect time to follow your commands before firing? Also is it actually possible that a white iPhone can be construed as a weapon? I get that in the heat of the moment things happen but a well trained officer should’ve and could’ve reacted differently.
I won't try to second guess what they saw or perceived.
Have you ever seen shoot don't shoot scenarios at the range. It's a split second decision. Make the wrong decision based on your perception and you or an unarmed person can easily end up dead.........
That is why as has been stated it is always in the best interest of everyone involved for a suspect to stop running and clearly put their empty hands in the air and surrender....... Anything short of that can result in a perceived threat.

This event happen because of illiteracy. The liberal public schools doesn't teach anything about history, sciences and other simple lessons to make living your life easy and productive. He was shoot 20 times...just 20 times. Policemen nowadays carry semi-autos with at least 15+1 with 2 spare magazines. 46 rounds available. 96 rounds between the two officers. Getting back to non-education by public school. Science tells you "you can't outrun a radio", or a chopper and I don't mean "teeth". There was a police chase video in NJ where they chased a perp until he sideswiped a civilian car crossing traffic. He then got out and started shooting at the officers chasing him. He was rewarded with boolits even when he was down on the ground but still twitching. The magic number is 69, great for a man and a woman but not boolits. If only they didn't neglect their schooling about law and order, he'll be a productive member of society; you'd think?
I would have to guess those not shot complied immediately with the commands of the officers. What part of empty your hands don't you get? Would be interesting to know if he was drugged out or drunk.
Crime is dangerous. So is being a police officer, but they shouldn't have to be put in that life or death situation by some crazy punk. Just do what they say, they don't necessarily control the situation, but certainly have to react to it as best they can to gain control. Being a dumb azz is likely not a good plan...... but criminals tend to not be the sharpest knives in the drawer....

For starters he was not shot twenty times. Twenty rounds were discharged. Whe a police helicopter with a spotlight is over the top of you and you are running. Good chance there’s police coming after you. This pursuit started with two officers in a police car responding to 911 call about car break ins in progress. I’m sure they used a spotlight looking for a suspect. Several years ago a officer here in broad daylight say a 14 yr old Asian gang member not in school. Took off chasing him. Cam around a corner and the 14 yr old shot him in the neck killing him. This piece of trash killed two deputies. He’s laughing while looking at the parent of the officers. He yelled out that if you let me out I’ll do it again. He’s laughing after the verdict was given. This is also one of those people our idiotic state governor wants to give sanctuary. He committed a number of felonies just getting an illegal. These people will always find a way to get guns like stealing it from cops. We need to have guns to protect us from people like these. Thomas Jefferson wrote about this very thing when referring to the 2nd amendment. The 2nd amendment isn’t just about a militia.
