IMO that was a good idea by Prez Trump to pardon Libby to correct the mishandling of the Valerie Plame affair by then Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald. To take it a step further...Fitzgerald may have even lied.

Simply a message that was being sent to Manafort, Flynn and Michael Cohen who have been wronged by a runaway prosecutor who desperately must discover a CRIMINAL occurrence no matter the subject line, regarding the Russian Collusion case. That one does not tie into the other or further that suspicion is inconsequential. Mueller is losing on the Russian Collusion front as the sand is quickly dropping from the hourglass attempting to save face. Scooter Libby was the last thing on Trumps mind. Mueller also received this message loud and clear.
