3 days after Trump took Office, AT&T reached out to Michael Cohen, who they paid $600k to, for advice on their $85B merger that the Federal Government was holding up. This is pay to play and corruption at the highest level of govt.
There were 4 payments of just under $100,000 made by Novartis to Cohen in late 2017 & early 2018. Coincidentally or not, Trump met with Novartis' CEO in January 2018. Novartis said it has no immediate comment. Wonder why! Waiting to hear from trump on how selling access to his Presidency is working out
The contract also reportedly specified Cohen would keep channels open between trump and Novartis.

Someone left out the part where AT & T pulled away from Cohen when they didn’t get results. Kind of blows the whole pay to play narrative out of the water.
This same someone left out the part where Mueller has interviewed these companies. If Trump had done any wrong doing do you think the Cohen case would have been passed onto SDNY?

Not sure if you can read it, but here is an excerpt:

Trump had voiced opposition to the merger during the presidential campaign, and his administration ultimately opposed the AT&T effort. The Justice Department filed suit in November to block the deal, and that case is pending."
He is wrong about Novartis. They paid Cohen $1.2 million. They have come out with 3-4 statements about what the money was for. I am a little amazed that these companies (who knew that Cohen was being looked at) wouldn't have had a canned statement in the works for weeks that was press ready.
