That is a great trout. I have caught many rainbow trout but nothing even close to that.

Meh....If they are going by length/girth measurements, one my wife caught when we lived In Montana has that one beat! .....still a nice fish though,and way larger than anything I have caught.

I just got done tying 3 dozen flies this morning for an upcoming fishing trip. Seeing that has me chomping at the bit, but I doubt anything remotely close swims in the waters i intend to fish. A bit more than half that size would be notable.
Great fish. As stated above. Maybe a Steelie.

There are some amazing rainbows in this thread. This is my best... 24 inch, 5 pound rainbow from the middle fork of the Feather River in northern California.
