Forest Closures in AZ

The Forest Service in AZ just announced forest closures for a couple of the NF. I live in Tonto and my area is affected, however as I live here I can still come and go. Have one more day of turkey hunting and there are open areas that I can hunt.

What reason did they give for closing them?

Very little rain for 6 months and extremely dry and windy.

Temporary closures then? Makes sense.

Give it a couple of weeks, Western Gulf Coast is over due for a Cat3+ hurricane.
