He knows it will never pass but he made an effort at "common sense" legislation and the Republican Senate shot it down. He will never admit the the proposal is a sham in the first place. Over time the "conversation" desensitizes the masses to the loss of freedom or morals just as the abortion conversation has.

This law just passed senate in MA surprise surprise.

Yeah, violating a citizens rights seems like a totally legit way to go.

There is not a single state that does not currently have a judicial process to determine if a person is mentally ill and unable to keep their firearms, to suggest otherwise is asinine. A red flag law simply violates a persons rights and takes the gun(s) away until it can be proven that they are not mentally ill. In other words it assumes you are guilty until you can prove your innocence. A clear violation of the 5th and 14th.......and yes the Constitution has worked out great so far.
