"And again, no one goes to jail...Typical DC BS!"

That's been the funniest part about this report for me. The IG has no prosecutorial powers. Had they found evidence of criminal acts, the DOJ would have to take action. Trump even complained about that in a tweet. So far, I haven't heard any squawking about criminal actions being taken.

Matt

JTV, the IG doesn't see his job as being the political tool you desire. This would be a good time for you to moderate the hype.

From: Trax
14-Jun-18
I haven't posted much on the IG report because I thought it unlikely much would come of it. Horowitz is an insider appointed by Obama. At the same time Obama and Hildabeast are both too powerful to bring down. I would believe it possible only if it happened. I think McCabe and Strzok could be in serious trouble along with a few others. Maybe as high as Lynch but doubtful.. All these people are filthy dirty criminals, but at the very top they are simply protected. They are too powerful. They know too much. Comey himself will be made to look like the idiot he is but he too will likely escape prosecution. One thing is clear, there was a massive orchestrated attempt to keep the highest office from President Trump. That is in the past. I am right now more concerned about the orchestrated efforts to delegitimize President Trump now by the global cabal, statists and socialists, and their blind dumb sheep followers. The enemy has been identified. All good Americans will crush the enemy with every chance they have. The DOJ and FBI (and beyond) need to be gutted in the meantime. The shadow government is doing their best to prevent exactly that.

From: JTV
14-Jun-18
the IG isnt suppose to be Political, it was the FBI and DOJ under the Obama administration that was political ... heads will roll, there will be firings and there should be prosecutions IF the DOJ now under Sessions does its job .. the Dems like GG, PutZ and yourself are running cover for the criminals as usual ... another thing this report does, it it really really screws up the Mueller witch hunt.... and there are STILL another 3 or 4 IG reports to come out ....

From: Grey Ghost
14-Jun-18
So, now that the IG report is basically a nothing burger, the new right wing-nut theory is the IG is also complicit in some huge conspiracy involving the DOJ, FBI, Clintons, Obama, and everyone in-between.

Good grief.

Matt

From: Trax
14-Jun-18
The Clinton email probe was one of the focuses of the IG report, and Obama himself had been implicated one a number related issues. The main one being he gave testimony that he did not email to Hilda's private server when it has now been outed that he did. For one example. Comey was also a focus of the report, and Comey was the head of the FBI. So Grey and biased Liberal, tell us how this is not at all related to the IG report. Now try to do it without admiring yourself in the mirror while you do it! What a punk.

Please explain to me how this would not be "meddling in the U.S. Presidential Election"? Russia pales in comparison to this.

From: Grey Ghost
14-Jun-18
As already stated, this report justifies the Comey firing, but doesn't incriminate him. It also appears to exonerate McCabe. It casts a bad light on a few FBI agents, who will likely get canned, but again, it doesn't incriminate them. It states prosecutorial decisions were "consistent with the Department’s historical approach in prior cases under different leadership…”

Those are my biggest take-aways. The "bombshell" was a dud.

Matt

14-Jun-18
So far this does not look like a nothing burger, but it is not a double Whopper with cheese either. I was hoping for more.

Sounds to me like several agents might be in trouble, but there does not appear to be evidence of the entire FBI operating in a coordinated fashion for any specific outcome. Comey certainly looks terrible! Some of the other though looks like people talking bigger than they actually are. Kind of stuff that happens every where.

The report right now does not live up to the FOX hype IMO.

Strzok was one of the lead investigators in the Clinton E-mail case. It's obvious who he wanted to win, in the upcoming Election.

So, allowing HRC to "slide" out of it, would accomplish that goal (in his mind)... "We'll stop it"...right?

"Former FBI Director James Comey was blasted by Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s office for his actions during the bureau’s ‘midyear’ investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server to conduct government business and the investigation found evidence that other members of the FBI deliberately took official action in an attempt to keep President Donald Trump from holding elected office.

Horowitz’s 500 page report, a summary of which was obtained by this reporter and other news outlets, also gave extensive and in-depth details of the dis-function within the bureau and Department of Justice from the beginning of the investigation in July, 2015 until Comey ended the probe into Clinton during the summer of 2016.

One of the most damming pieces of evidence was a never before seen text message from embattled FBI Special Agent Peter Strzok to his paramour former FBI Attorney Lisa Page where he suggests that he will not allow Trump to become president."

Horowitz's report said that message "not only indicative of a biased state of mind but, even more seriously, implies a willingness to take official action to impact the presidential candidate’s electoral prospects. This is antithetical to the core values of the FBI and the Department of Justice."

Horowitz found anti-Trump messages from two other FBI agents and another FBI attorney that his report said "cast a cloud over the FBI's handling" of the Clinton case. In addition, "the damage caused by their actions extends far beyond the scope of the [Clinton] investigation and goes to the heart of the FBI's reputation for neutral factfinding and political independence," the report continued.

But, the report made clear, "our review did not find evidence to connect the political views expressed in these messages to the specific investigative decisions that we reviewed."

For the past year and a half, the inspector general's office has been looking into an array of allegations that the Justice Department and FBI may have allowed political considerations to poison its investigative decisions in the Clinton-related case and other inquiries.

Most controversial was Comey's July 2016 announcement on national TV that Clinton would not face charges because there was no "clear evidence" that she "intended to violate" the law. But, Comey said, the former secretary of state was "extremely careless" in her "handling of very sensitive, highly classified information."

Comey did not consult with the Justice Department at all before making the announcement.

"We found that it was extraordinary and insubordinate for Comey to do so," the inspector general's report released Thursday said. "We concluded that Comey's unilateral announcement was inconsistent with Department policy and violated longstanding Department practice and protocol by, among other things, criticizing Clinton's uncharged conduct."

However, Horowitz said the "judgment calls" made by those investigating Clinton "were not unreasonable," and the ultimate decision not to charge Clinton "was consistent with the Department’s historical approach in prior cases under different leadership, including in the 2008 decision not to prosecute former Attorney General Alberto Gonzales for mishandling classified documents."

OBOZO lied all right , but he wasn't under oath. No different than when he lied about how we could keep our doctor and our insurance provider if we wanted and the average cost for a family would go down about $2500.

Clinton is clearly implicated, but she won't be charged with anything. As many as 1/2 dozen FBI agents could, and many prominent lawyers including one former AG believes they will. Comey has been proven an incompetent fool but it will be difficult he broke a law that could be prosecuted. There's more being unearthed, but I don't really expect any surprises here. Congress should subpoena for a completely unredacted report though, and I believe they will. This is a win for free speech, at least a step in the right direction. This hopefully is the stimulus for a gutting and housecleaning of the FBI and DOJ. President Trump along with a few key leaders in Congress can spearhead this. Sessions won't be fired until after midterms, but he will be then. It is critical we get the right person in there.

This report shows much, and just how illicit and how much of a conspiracy was going on at the upper levels of the FBI ... and there is 3-4 more reports coming, not to Mention what Huber is investigating... ... this certainly show what a farce the Mueller witch hunt is and will be and why a second special counsel is needed ... there were those outside the scope of the IG that could not be interviewed nor subpoenaed ....

There are three versions. Everything reacted, the version that is being sent. Then the FBI redacted, Then the personal redactions. It will be a nothing burger because we all know everything but the redactions which the FBI has tapes of the meeting on the tarmac ect. We will never hear that information. All we will get is what we already know and probably that is all congress will get. Still no faith in our (their) justice department. The deep state is still in place , just missing a few leaders.

The report summarizes there was definitely political bias with some agents, but that bias wasn't illegal, and it didn't affect the decisions made in the Clinton investigation. I'm not sure how that could be more clear.

Trump couldn't get a loan anywhere in America. Guess where he got them? Russia. So who is he beholden to? The people who hold his mortgages. How do we know? Refer back to his sons "We get the bulk of our business revenue from Russia, we do tons of business in Russia...." Corruption? have you seen his administration? From Pruitt to Devos, the corruption is stacked! Need examples? Pruitt flying private? first class? demanding his staff drive around looking for lotions, mattresses? Pressuring franchises to give his wife one? Dude, thats the very definition of corruption.

Open your eyes, man. Trump isn't draining anything. He and his people ARE THE SWAMP.

One more point, trumps whole existence has been for trump, by trump and only trump. He's a known swindler and liar among the billionaire elites of Manhattan (don't get me started on how people actually thought he would look out for middle america!) but his own social circle ostracized him because of his shady dealings. I'm only a couple hundred pages into this, but there seems to be a lot of contradictions from the summary.

IMHO, the only way to bring back any real integrity to both the FBI and DOJ (and probably most of the federal bureaucracy) would be a mass housecleaning and release of much of the documentation without any redactions. Hiding political active agents behind numbers is just an example of the obfuscation and whitewash of what has been shown as political corruption of both the FBI and DOJ. Not one of the top supervisory levels should remain in government service...and if any illegal activities (such as receiving "gifts" from the media, leaks, or malfeasance such as using private emails ala Clinton to conduct official business. That especially denotes activity illegal and unprofessional.

This report does not go back or even attempt to identify when this massive politicization of the FBI and DOJ began, but much of this stinks of the Obama puppet and his handler Jarrett.

If your premise all along is that the FBI/DOJ/Deep State/Bigfoot were after trump you have to overcome the elephant in the room - they didn't do anything until after the election that put trump in a bad light. Contrast this to making a huge announcement on clinton a week before the election. So, if the FBIDOJDSB conspiracy is true, they were completely inept.

Everything the IG report is reporting is the opposite - i.e. they didn't like trump at all (most of the country didn't when he was running) but still didn't let it affect their work.

'The report on the FBI’s Hillary Clinton email investigation issued Thursday by Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz confirms the gross misconduct of fired FBI Director James Comey, but – incredibly – fails to find any political bias in the actions of Comey and his inner circle. (!!????)

Yet the political bias by Comey and his team was there and is obvious.

In some ways, the IG report resembles the notorious news conference that Comey held in July 2016 that both excoriated and exonerated Clinton for her improper and irresponsible use of a personal email server to handle official State Department business while she was secretary of state in the Obama administration. Clinton used her mobile phone for sensitive calls with President Obama while on foreign soil. She transmitted unencrypted classified documents using her personal email account through her personal server. By her actions, she blatantly violated State Department policies and jeopardized our national security, leaving her communications wide open to cyberespionage.

Yet Comey did not recommend prosecution of Clinton, the Democratic presidential candidate who was widely expected to be elected in November 2016.

The IG report presents jarring evidence of political bias by the FBI against Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, but fails to add it all up to come to the inevitable conclusion that political bias was there. This is like saying 1+1 = 0.

The report documents that five of the FBI officials conducting the Clinton email investigation expressed their disdain and contempt for Donald Trump in excruciating detail in texts. This was not subtle – it was clearly stated.

Inspector general found Comey 'insubordinate' in Clinton probe, while a Strzok text recovered last month, suggests the agent may have acted for political reasons much later than initially believed; Catherine Herridge goes in-depth for 'Special Report.' And the report reveals for the first time that the lead investigator in the Clinton email probe, FBI agent Peter Strozk, even texted his lover Lisa Page, who was an FBI lawyer, to tell her he would “stop” Trump from being elected.

Members of this same FBI team investigating the Clinton email practices went on to be assigned to the FBI’s investigation of the Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and possible collusion with the Trump campaign.

The five FBI officials involved in both probes did not just freely express their anti-Trump bias. They acted on their convictions, by declining to use the normal investigative techniques on the Clinton investigation and by softening language Comey used at his news conference to describe Clinton’s wrongful conduct, to make it seem the misconduct was not criminal.

And after Comey’s publicly stated that Clinton should not be criminally prosecuted for her improper email practices, new and important evidence surfaced in the FBI’s New York office about the email practices. Yet Strozk delayed any follow-up investigation for over a month.

How can this delay be attributed to anything but political bias for Clinton and against Trump?

Strozk and his boss, fired FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, finally authorized further investigation of the New York evidence only when federal prosecutors in New York alerted their Justice Department superiors.

President Trump claims the inspector general's revelations exonerate him. 'America's Newsroom' A-Team breaks down the findings.Video Who emerged victorious from the DOJ's IG report? The New York prosecutors said there was potentially relevant evidence regarding Clinton’s misconduct on the laptop that pedophile and disgraced former U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner shared with his wife, Huma Abedin, who was a close Clinton aide.

Despite all these actions, Inspector General Horowitz took the safe and less courageous route in finding that while there was anti-Trump bias on the part of key FBI employees involved in the Clinton email investigation, that bias was not reflected in the investigation.

The IG report does not surprise anyone in finding that Comey violated numerous rules and procedures in playing the role of investigator, prosecutor and judge in publicly exonerating Clinton with a flimsy and self-serving justification.

The report does call out the misconduct of the five FBI employees and refers them for official action. The five offenders do not include former Deputy Director McCabe, who was the subject of another report and is now under consideration for indictment for leaking and lying about his leaks.

Yet while the IG report specifically finds that lovebirds Strozk and Page improperly used FBI communication devices to express their bias against Trump, it concludes there was no specific action taken by them to manipulate the Clinton email investigation.

While Horowitz conducted a thorough investigation, he clearly took the easy way out. Unfortunately the IG has no prosecutorial powers and the office is relatively toothless when the offenders have already been fired or resigned.

The IG report also removes any doubt that the FBI’s investigation of Clinton’s email misconduct was – at best – tepid. But it attributes the unusually laid back investigation to “investigative discretion” rather than the political bias in favor of the Democratic presidential candidate and against Donald Trump.

One of the more interesting and damning revelations in the report is the extensive contacts that various FBI officials, apparently including members of the Comey inner circle, had with reporters during a time when there were almost daily leaks about the Clinton investigation.

Charts included in the report depict over 300 phone calls to five separate reporters from FBI employees. These employees accepted gifts of every description, including meals, drinks, sports tickets and golf outings.

This conduct by FBI officials violates so many rules it's difficult to list them all here. The IG report declines to name these employees, but their position descriptions implicate Strozk, Page and several other executives, special agents and investigative analysts.

Former Attorney General Loretta Lynch makes cameo appearances throughout the IG report, but like the FBI’s investigation of the Clinton email practices, Lynch is handled with kid gloves. It is impossible to describe how weak and feckless she was throughout the Clinton email fiasco. Comey thumbed his nose at her as he usurped her role.

It is unfair to attribute the conduct of Comey and his inner circle to the vast majority of men and women of the FBI, who perform magnificently every day and work hard to protect us from gangs, child predators, white collar criminals, hostile intelligence services, terrorists and sophisticated criminals of every description.

It was the hope of many of my current and former colleagues in the FBI that Inspector General Horowitz would be courageous enough to unmask Comey and his inner circle for what they were – rogue officials who played by their own rules, leaked with impunity and allowed their personal political biases to impact one of the most important investigations the FBI has ever conducted.

Comey, who is making big money with a self-flattering book and is now lecturing on leadership, led the Clinton probe by example by leaking, lying and flaunting clearly established and long-held rules and procedures.

It's been said that its leader defines an organization. Comey’s short tenure as FBI director does not define the courageous and honorable men and women of the FBI. In fact, he was the worst thing to happen to that agency since its inception.

Comey did major damage to the finest law enforcement and intelligence agency in the world – and it will take the FBI a long time to recover.

The first step towards recovery should be to purge the FBI of every remaining member of the Comey inner circle. With the firing of McCabe and Comey and the resignation of Lisa Page, action should be taken now to immediately fire Peter Strozk and the two attorneys referenced in the report who were so strident in their expressions of animus toward Donald Trump.

It is unfortunate that while Inspector General Horowitz conducted a thorough investigation, his courage failed him when he needed it the most.

There is no question that the FBI investigation of the Clinton email practices was tainted by strong political bias against Trump, and a strong desire to minimize harm to Clinton, so that she could be elected president. The IG report should have reached this conclusion."

Suuuure, no bias there .... smh ..

(CNSNews.com) - One of the four FBI case agents working on the Hillary Clinton email investigation—who was also one of the two FBI agents who interviewed her at the conclusion of that investigation—triumphantly referred to Clinton as “the President” four days after that interview—and four months before the election.

Later, on election day, in an instant message exchange with another FBI agent who had also worked on the Clinton investigation, this FBI agent declared: “screw you trump.”

The other agent said in the same instant-message exchange: “You should know…that I’m…with her.”

These two FBI investigators who were in a “relationship” while they were working on the Clinton email investigation later were married.

The report released yesterday by the inspector general for the Department of Justice referred to these two FBI agents not by their names but as “Agent 1” and “Agent 5.”

The report said of these FBI agents that “we identified two instant message exchanges that appeared to combine a discussion of politics with the Midyear investigation.” (The FBI referred to the Clinton email investigation as “Midyear Exam,” “Midyear,” or “MYE.”)

On July 2, the FBI interviewed Hillary Clinton about her use of a private email server as secretary of state and the presence of classified information on emails that she sent through this server.

But, according to the IG report, the FBI had already decided not to prosecute Clinton prior to this interview--unless she confessed or lied.

“By the time of Clinton’s interview on July 2, we found that the Midyear agents and prosecutors, along with Comey, had decided that absent a confession or false statements by Clinton, the investigation would be closed without charges,” says the IG report.

Three days later, FBI Director James Comey unilaterally announced that the FBI would not be recommending that charges be brought against Clinton—despite “evidence of potential violations of statutes.”

“Although there is evidence of potential violations of the statutes regarding the handling of classified information, our judgment is that no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a case,” he said.

At the same time, Comey thanked FBI personnel for what he called their “remarkable work” on the Clinton case and said that Americans would better understand how “proud” he was of these FBI agents when they had a “better sense” of the work they had done on the Clinton case.

“I want to start by thanking the FBI employees who did remarkable work in this case,” Comey said. “Once you have a better sense of how much we have done, you will understand why I am so grateful and proud of their efforts.”

Because of information released in the IG report, it is now known that the day after Comey’s announcement FBI “Agent 1”—“one of four agents responsible for the day-to-day activities” of the Clinton investigation—had an instant message exchange with another unidentified “FBI employee” in which he talked about his interview of Clinton four days before—and called her “the President.”

Here is the exchange—verbatim—as presented in the IG report:

On July 6, 2016, the day after Comey’s Midyear declination announcement, Agent 1 and an FBI employee not involved with Midyear exchanged messages about the investigation. During the course of this discussion, Agent 1 described the prior weekend’s activities, which included the interview of Clinton. A portion of this instant message exchange follows. The sender of each message is noted after the timestamp.

15:07:41, Agent 1: “...I’m done interviewing the President – then type the 302. 18 hour day....”

15:13:32, FBI Employee: “you interviewed the president?”

15:17:09, Agent 1: “you know – HRC” [Hillary Rodham Clinton]

15:17:18, Agent 1: “future pres”

15:17:22, Agent 1: “Trump cant win”

15:17:31, Agent 1: “demographics dont line up”

15:17:37, Agent 1: “America has changed”

The IG report then indicates that officials from the IG’s office asked this FBI agent if he thought he had dealt with Clinton differently because he was convinced she would be the next president. Here is how the IG reported the response of “Agent 1”:

“We asked Agent 1 if he thought of Clinton as the next president while conducting the Midyear investigation. Agent 1 stated, ‘I think my impression going into the election in that personal realm is that all of the polls were favoring Hillary Clinton.’ We asked Agent 1 if he treated Clinton differently because of this assumption. Agent 1 stated, ‘Absolutely not. I think the message they said that our leadership told us and our actions were to find whatever was there and whatever, whatever that means is what it means.’”

On August 29 and September 9, 2016, according to the IG report, Agent 1 and the woman he would marry, Agent 5, engaged in an instant message exchange in which they expressed their mutual contempt for Donald Trump. Here verbatim is how the IG report presented that:

On August 29, 2016, Agent 1 and Agent 5 exchanged the following instant messages as part of a discussion about their jobs. The sender of each message is noted after the timestamp.

10:39:49, Agent 1: “I find anyone who enjoys [this job] an absolute fucking idiot. If you dont think so, ask them one more question. Who are you voting for? I guarantee you it will be Donald Drumpf.”

10:40:13, Agent 5: “i forgot about drumpf…”

10:40:27, Agent 5: “that’s so sad and pathetic if they want to vote for him.”

10:40:43, Agent 5: “someone who can’t answer a question”

10:40:51, Agent 5: “someone who can’t be professional for even a second”

On September 9, 2016, Agent 1 and Agent 5 exchanged the following instant messages.

08:56:43, Agent 5: “i’m trying to think of a ‘would i rather’ instead of spending time with those people”

08:56:54, Agent 1: “stick your tongue in a fan??”

08:56:58, Agent 5: “i would rather have brunch with trump”

08:57:03, Agent 1: “ha”

08:57:15, Agent 1: “french toast with drumpf”

08:57:19, Agent 5: “i would rather have brunch with trump and a bunch of his supporters like the ones from ohio that are retarded”

08:57:23, Agent 5: “:)”

Agent 5 later explained to the IG that she was not attempting to make a specific criticism of people from Ohio in saying this. Here is how the IG reported her explanation:

“Agent 5 told the OIG these instant messages ‘referenced TV programming and commentary that Agent 1 and Agent 5 had recently viewed together.’ Agent 5 continued, ‘The reference was not a general statement about a particular part of the country, rather it was in jest and pertained to individuals’ inability to articulate any reason why they so strongly favored one candidate over another.’”

On October 28, 2016, less than two weeks before the election, FBI Director Comey informed Congress that the FBI had to re-open the Clinton email investigation because emails from Clinton’s server had been discovered on a laptop belonging to Anthony Weiner, the former congressmen who was married to Clinton aide Huma Abedin.

At this point, Agent 1 and Agent 5 exchanged instant messages expressing their disgust with Trump’s reaction to this news—and also with what Agent 5 called the “Average American public.” Here, verbatim, is how the IG reported the reaction of these two agents who had been among those who carried out the original Clinton email investigation:

Comey sent the first letter to Congress about the Weiner laptop discovery on October 28, 2016. Agent 1 and Agent 5 exchanged instant messages about the letter and Trump’s reaction to it later that day. The sender of each messages is noted after the timestamp.

13:46:48, Agent 5: “jesus christ… Trump: Glad FBI is fixing ‘horrible mistake’ on clinton emails… for fuck’s sake.”

13:47:27, Agent 5: “the fuck’s sake part was me, the rest was Trump.”

13:49:07, Agent 1: “Not sure if Trump or the fifth floor is worse…”

13:49:22, Agent 5: “I’m so sick of both…”

13:50:25, Agent 5: “+o( TRUMP”207

13:50:30, Agent 5: “+o( Fifth floor”

13:50:34, Agent 5: “+o( FBI”

13:50:44, Agent 5: “+o( Average American public”

The IG then reported how Agent 1 and Agent 5 responded when asked about this exchange. Agent 1 described it as “some personal comment.” Here, verbatim, is how the IG described their responses:

“We asked both Agent 1 and Agent 5 about these messages. Agent 1 and Agent 5 both stated the reference to ‘fifth floor’ referred to the location of the FBI WFO’s Counterintelligence Division. Agent 1 continued: ‘Again, you know, I think a general, general theme in a lot of this is some personal comment, or, you know, complaining about common topics and leadership and, and venting.’ Agent 5 also described this as general complaining to Agent 1 and also as an example of her being ‘very tired of working’ these types of cases. Agent 5 also noted that she was not involved in the review of the Weiner laptop.”

The Top 10 Different Reasons The IG’s Report On the Clinton Email ‘Matter’ Is Flawed – Obama’s Deep State Runs Deep

From: JTV
16-Jun-18
re is a list of 10 Reasons from Thursday’s report that support our conclusion –

1. In the IG’s Report whenever the IG found it necessary to address the judgements, decisions and interpretations of the law, the IG sides with the FBI, DOJ and Clinton team every time. Horowitz and team show an effort to side with these entities and their actions and even provide excuses rather than disagree with their obvious flawed decisions and actions.

In the Executive Summary on page ii alone the IG says –

We found that the prosecutors provided justifications…We found that one of the reasons for not using the grand jury for testimony involved concerns about exposing grand jurors to classified information…We found that the reasons for not doing so were based on limitations…We found that these decisions were occurring at a time when Comey and the Midyear team had already concluded that there was likely no prosecutable case and believed it was unlikely the culling laptops would change the outcome of the investigation…We found that, by the date of her interview, the Midyear team and Comey had concluded that the evidence did not support criminal charges…We found no persuasive evidence that Mills’s or Samuelson’s presence influenced Clinton’s interview.”

2. The IG’s response to the rationale of the FBI making a decision to not to bring Hillary to court for maintaining classified emails on her private server is severely flawed. The IG writes on page iv of the Executive Summary –

They concluded that Section 793(f)(1) likely required a state of mind that was “so gross as to almost suggest deliberate intention,” criminally reckless, or “something that falls just short of being willful,” as well as evidence that the individuals who sent emails containing classified information “knowingly” included or transferred such information onto unclassified systems.”

Even the far-left New York Times reported that the law doesn’t require intent –

The relevant statute places a special burden on public officials to safeguard national secrets, making it a crime to remove national defense information from its “proper place of custody” even through mere “gross negligence.” There is no requirement of finding specific intent.

3. The IG notes on page ii reports that the FBI in the Hillary investigation –

Sought to obtain evidence whenever possible through consent but also used compulsory process, including grand jury subpoenas, search warrants, and 2703(d) orders (court orders for non-content email information) to obtain various evidence. We found that the prosecutors provided justifications for the preference for consent that were supported by Department and FBI policy and practice;

However, a former FBI Agent stated in 2017 that –

Never, I repeat never, in my 25-year career have I or any FBI agent known to me investigated a criminal case without the use of a federal grand jury, federal grand jury subpoenas, search warrants, etc.

Search warrants and/or subpoenas should have been executed at Clinton’s residences in Chappaqua and Washington and at Platte River.

The fact that this is coming out now is shocking. Why did the FBI and IG until now withhold information that subpoenas were used in the Hillary investigation and what was subpoenaed? When was it subpoenaed? Why was the IG ok with the fact that Hillary was never subpoenaed in front of a jury? Why is the IG not more transparent on this new issue?

4. The IG ends up agreeing with the FBI’s story regarding Hillary’s emails and ignores the significance of some of the emails found on her server. The IG glosses over the fact that some of the emails on Hillary’s server were of the highest of classification categories. Documents like these are maintained in super controlled environments where an individual must have top clearance to review. Why does the IG seem to ignore this fact?

5. The IG noted that he and his team did not recover all of the corrupt Strzok and Page text messages. A few months ago when Congress requested the text messages, the corrupt DOJ and FBI delayed and delayed and then finally shared some of the messages. Then when pressed corrupt AG Sessions’ DOJ and FBI announced that the text messages had be deleted and they no longer had them. When that happened the question was raised, why did IG Horowitz not announce that he didn’t receive them? A short time later the IG announced that he had the Strzok and Page texts.

Now we find out in the (highly unlikely and questionable) report from the IG that he does not have any more of the Strzok – Page texts. It is simply unbelievable that the IG and his team did not have all the texts at some point in the investigation and if they did not have them, why was Congress not fully disclosed to this fact?

6. When the IG discusses the meeting in Arizona between impeached President Bill Clinton and Obama’s AG Lynch he neglects to highlight that the only emails released related to the meeting from FBI agents didn’t question the reasonableness of the meeting. Emails released since that date requested by Judicial Watch show the FBI was only interested in finding out who reported the meeting, not why the meeting occurred or the legality of the meeting with the Hillary ‘matter’ in the works at that time.

Judicial Watch today released 29 pages of Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) documents related to the June 27, 2016, tarmac meeting between former Attorney General Loretta Lynch and former President Bill Clinton. The documents show that FBI officials were more concerned about leaks than the actual meeting itself. The new documents also show that then-FBI Director Comey seemed to learn of the meeting from news reports.

7. Conflicts of interest are all over the report but the IG states that they did not influence the investigation which clearly is not the case. Due to the significance of the Clinton scandal all prejudices in actuality or appearance should have been eliminated but they were not. The result was the Hillary ‘matter’ was a sham. The IG states on p iii of the Executive Summary –

There were clearly tensions and disagreements in a number of important areas between Midyear agents and prosecutors. However, we did not find documentary or testimonial evidence that improper considerations, including political bias, directly affected the specific investigative decisions we reviewed.

8. The IG mentions emails obtained from Weiner’s laptop but stays away from the contents of these emails. The laptop held by Anthony Weiner, the spouse of Hillary’s top aid, Huma Abedin was obtained by the FBI with a reported 340,000 Clinton emails going back to 2007. What the hell was in those emails?

9. The IG in his report overlooks the actions of the FBI and DOJ that clearly were more about perception than adhering to the law. For example from page xi of the Executive Summary –

Lynch, Yates, Axelrod, and their staffs had several discussions that same day as to whether Lynch or Yates should call Comey directly, but said they ultimately decided to have Axelrod communicate “the strong view that neither the DAG nor [AG] felt this letter should go out.” Yates told us they were concerned that direct contact with Comey would be perceived as “strongarming” him, and that based on her experience with Comey, he was likely to “push back hard” against input from Lynch or her, especially if accepting their input meant that he had to go back to his staff and explain that he was reversing his decision. She said that she viewed Rybicki as the person they needed to convince if they wanted to change Comey’s mind. Accordingly, Axelrod informed Rybicki on October 27 of the Department’s strong opposition to Comey’s plan to send a letter.

With Obama everything was always a production.

10. Finally, one overall question on the IG report is why was it slow walked for so long before being provided to the public? This alone adds more questions to the overall soundness of the report as the Deep State was allowed more time to review the report and make edits. Did it take so long to cover up the truth?

I still hold out hope their time is up as future investigation work thru .. same goes for others involved in the soft coup attempt and that goes for those who brought about the fake dossier and the illegal FISA warrants and "wiretapping" and surveillance of Trump/his campaign and those around him ....

Powell: IG Report Reveals Need for Criminal Obstruction of Justice Investigation of FBI and DOJ 16 Jun 2018

Not only is the IG Report rife with evidence of outrageous political bias and actions based on that, but it also reveals evidence that warrants independent counsel to conduct a thorough, criminal investigation of everyone involved in the farcical Clinton email investigation at the Department of Justice and the FBI for their conspiracy and obstruction of justice.

?Peter Strzok clearly intended to STOP Mr. Trump from becoming President.

On page 404 of the report, the IG reports:

?August 8, 2016: In a text message on August 8, 2016, Page stated, ‘[Trump’s] not ever going to become president, right? Right?!’ Strzok responded, “No. No he’s not. We’ll stop it.” 203

?This hugely important response was not revealed to Congress until they received the Inspector General’s report June 14th.

?WHY? They have been asking for all of these text messages for months. For the answer, you must read the footnote on page 404.

?“203 Although we received Page’s August 8 text message to Strzok from the FBI as part of its production of text messages in 2017, Strzok’s response to Page was not among those preserved by the FBI’s text message preservation software, and therefore was not produced to us. The OIG’s Cyber Investigations Office recovered this text message, along with others, in May 2018 through forensic analysis of a folder found on Page’s and Strzok’s Samsung S5 devices.”

?IF that is true, that may be because Lisa Page and Peter Strzok quickly deleted it from their phones.

That deletion could be evidence of knowledge and intent.

?If it is not true, then did someone at the FBI tamper with the production of evidence to the Inspector General and to Congress? Why didn’t the FBI, which is supposed to be the best law enforcement operation in the world, find the message itself? Who is covering for whom? If the FBI had it and didn’t produce it, that is also obstruction of justice.

?It is now painfully apparent that we cannot trust the Department of Justice or the FBI to investigate themselves. As much as I dislike the idea of any special counsel, we either need a substantial hosing out of both agencies or a special counsel appointed to conduct a thorough criminal investigation of both—and it won’t be by using “consent agreements” and handing out immunity like Halloween candy—Clinton style.

The rule of law is dead in this country, and it has been for quite a while. If anyone had any doubt about this it should have been erased when Hillary was never arrested for destroying subpoenaed evidence.

17-Jun-18
I agree. We have an IG that says Comey deviated from FBI rules, we have other players in the FBI that did the same, all in the name of hurting Trump's chances of being elected. It is sickening.

I understand people like jimbo, that sold out his credibility long ago for the sake of bashing Trump, trying to play this off as a nothing burger. However, that doesn't make it a nothing burger to any person content on law and order.

The more the truth is being found out, the more obvious it becomes that there was a huge collusion effort to over throw our democracy. Yet, people act as if this isn't a big issue? What is wrong with you people? This isn't politics. This is illegal and, immoral people trying to steal from EVERY one. This is a HUGE deal. These people are evil. This report proves that some people believe this isn't a democracy form of government. You libetards talk about Putin so much. All roads lead to Obama. The entire cover up was to protect Obama when Hillary's private bathroom server was discovered and made public. Had Hillary won as expected, not one iota of what was has been revealed in the past year and the IG report would have ever seen light.

DOJ IG: Obama Had Direct Contact With Hillary Via Her Compromised Bathroom Email Server

(Note: internal links)

By Lloyd Billingsley

“FBI analysts and Prosecutor 2 told us that former President Barack Obama was one of the 13 individuals with whom Clinton had direct contact using her clintonemail.com account,” explains DOJ inspector Michael Horowitz in Review of Various Actions by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Department of Justice in Advance of the 2016 Election, the massive report released last week. Despite surprise in some quarters, this was not a new revelation.

Back in early March of 2015, CBS’ Bill Plante asked the president when he learned about Clinton’s private email system. “The same time everybody else learned it through news reports,” he said. That was not true, and hardly the president’s first strategic lie.

The story first emerged in “Hillary Clinton Used Personal Email Account at State Dept., Possibly Breaking Rules,” a March 3, 2015 New York Times report by Michael Schmidt. The most casual reader could disregard the “possibly” part.

“Mrs. Clinton did not have a government email address during her four-year tenure at the State Department,” readers learned, and “her aides took no actions to have her personal emails preserved on department servers at the time, as required by the Federal Records Act.” Two months earlier, in response to an effort to comply with federal rules, “Mrs. Clinton’s advisers reviewed tens of thousands of pages of her personal emails and decided which ones to turn over to the State Department.”

Jason Baron, former director of litigation at the National Archives, told Schmidt, “It is very difficult to conceive of a scenario — short of nuclear winter — where an agency would be justified in allowing its cabinet-level head officer to solely use a private email communications channel for the conduct of government business.” Clinton mouthpiece Nick Merrill explained that Clinton had complied with the “letter and spirit of the rules.” White House press secretary Josh Earnest took up the theme in classic style.

“The point that the president was making is not that he didn’t know Secretary Clinton’s email address, he did,” Earnest told reporters. “But he was not aware of the details of how that email address and that server had been set up or how Secretary Clinton and her team were planning to comply with the Federal Records Act.” So unlike Marvin Gaye, he didn’t hear about it through the grapevine.

As Politico revealed, from 2007 to 2015 Clinton set up three private servers. Some “former aide to her husband” set up an Apple unit, a “former IT specialist for Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign” set up another server in 2009, and in 2013 Platte River Networks set up another, “housed in a data center in New Jersey.” Clinton’s team scrubbed some 30,000 subpoenaed emails from that server and smashed up her mobile devices.

Clinton told the nation the emails she failed to hand over were all about yoga classes, Chelsea’s wedding and such. And as the former first Lady and Secretary of State explained, “I never sent or received any classified material.”

In April, 2016, the FBI showed Clinton aide Huma Abedin an email exchange between Clinton and the president. Abedin “expressed her amazement at the president's use of a pseudonym and asked if she could have a copy of the email.” The State Department “has refused to make public that and other emails Clinton exchanged with Obama,” citing the “presidential communications privilege, a variation of executive privilege, in order to withhold the messages under the Freedom of Information Act.”

FBI boss James Comey knew everything but in July of 2016 he told the nation “no reasonable prosecutor” would bring charges. As Trey Gowdy of the House Oversight Committee told Fox News on Sunday, Comey’s team, including Page and Strzok, “pronounced Hillary Clinton's innocence before her investigation ended.” This was “textbook bias, which is the prejudging of an outcome,” Gowdy said, yet the IG report found that there was no bias. That too should come as no surprise.

IG Michael Horowitz is an Obama appointee, and his massive report is like Comey’s exoneration of Hillary Clinton. It amasses a body of damning evidence, such as Strzok setting out to “stop” Trump, but in the end faults only mistakes, insubordination and such while keeping many identities secret. The report does reveal that POTUS 44, formerly known as Barry Soetoro, knew all about Hillary Clinton’s unsecured email system and used it to communicate with his designated successor.

It is not news that POTUS 44 and Hillary Clinton are prodigious liars but good to have it confirmed by the IG his own self. The report also confirms that Hillary did have classified information on her unsecured server, so current Attorney General Jeff Sessions might file the criminal charges that former AG Loretta Lynch wouldn’t have brought even if the insubordinate James Comey had recommended that she proceed.

“The new guys can either be part of the cleanup crew or they can be part of the cover-up crew,” Tres Gowdy said Sunday. “And I would encourage them to be part of the cleanup crew.”

Rep Mark Meadows Drops A Few Bombshells At The End of IG Hearing… Posted on June 19, 2018 by sundance

Representative Mark Meadows dropped a few bombshells at the very end of almost seven hours of testimony from Inspector General Michael Horowitz.

Meadows follows up on numerous rounds of questions challenging the reason why the Inspector General was forced to hide the names of FBI employees within his report.

More lies and cover-up's from the deep state FBI/DOJ upper echelon .... every thing I have talked about previously is being played out and being shown to be true.... the drips are getting much larger .........

From Foxnews.com ...

When the Justice Department inspector general's report revealed that former FBI director James B. Comey had used a personal email account to conduct official business, Hillary Clinton claimed vindication. "But my emails," she tweeted.

Yes, Madam Secretary, your emails.

In fact, the overlooked bombshell of the report is the inspector general's confirmation that classified information contained in Clinton's emails was in fact compromised by foreign intelligence services, and that Clinton had recklessly emailed President Barack Obama using her unsecured personal email from the territory of a hostile foreign adversary.

Before the report was released, we knew from Comey's July 2016 statement that Clinton's private emails included "seven e-mail chains concern matters that were classified at the Top Secret/Special Access Program level when they were sent and received." We also knew that the FBI "also found information that was properly classified as Secret by the U.S. Intelligence Community at the time it was discussed on e-mail." Comey further declared, "We do assess that hostile actors gained access to the private commercial e-mail accounts of people with whom Secretary Clinton was in regular contact from her personal account." And he speculated that, given how "extremely careless" Clinton had been, it was "possible that hostile actors gained access to Secretary Clinton's personal e-mail account."

Well, it turns out, the FBI knew with certainty at the time that hostile actors had in fact gained access to classified information via Clinton's emails. According to the inspector general, a special review of the Clinton email investigation in 2017 by the Office to the FBI's Inspection Division (INSD) found that, before Comey's 2016 statement, "the FBI ... successfully determined classified information was improperly stored and transmitted on Clinton's email server, and classified information was compromised by unauthorized individuals, to include foreign governments or intelligence services, via cyber intrusion or other means"

[emphasis added].

The initial draft of Comey's 2016 statement said it was "reasonably likely" that hostile actors had gained access to Clinton's private email account. Moreover, the inspector general quotes FBI agent Peter Strzok as commenting on that "It is more accurate to say we know foreign actors obtained access to some of her emails (including at least one Secret one) via compromises of the private email accounts of some of her staffers" [emphasis added]. These facts were inexplicably left out of the final statement.

We still don't know the full extent of the damage Clinton caused, because the inspector general reports that the FBI intentionally chose not to follow every potential lead of compromised classified information. The report notes that "Strzok further stated that the FBI's 'purpose and mission' was not to pursue 'spilled [classified] information to the ends of the earth' and that the task of cleaning up classified spills by State Department employees was referred back to the State Department."

We also learned new details about Clinton's recklessness and willful misconduct in using her private email. The final version of Comey's statement did note that Clinton "used her personal e-mail extensively while outside the United States, including sending and receiving work-related e-mails in the territory of sophisticated adversaries." But we did not know at the time that the original draft included one more sentence: "That use included an email exchange with the President while Secretary Clinton was on the territory of such an adversary." According to the inspector general, "This reference later was changed to 'another senior government official,' and ultimately was omitted."

When I worked in the George W. Bush White House, and traveled to certain foreign countries with the president, we were required by the Secret Service to remove the batteries from our BlackBerrys, place them in a sealed plastic bag, and leave them on Air Force One for the duration of our visit to prevent foreign adversaries from hacking into the White House email system. But Clinton was so cavalier that she actually used not her government communications device, but her unsecured private email to communicate directly with the president of the United States from the territory of a foreign adversary. By emailing Obama directly from hostile territory, she put both her own email system and the president's at risk of foreign intrusion.

Many Democrats blame Comey's July 2016 statement for causing Clinton irreparable harm in the election. But we now know Clinton's actions were worse than what Comey presented to the American people. Just imagine if his statement had been full and complete.
