Trophy room wall colors

Good evening all,
I am in the process of painting my hunting room in my basement. Can anyone give me a few ideas of wall colors that make trophies look good? I'm thinking earth tones or greens.
Any thoughts?
Also, any good ideas for finishing a basement floor? I have colored carpet squares currently and want to make a change. Thinking wood or stain. It's not a very large space.

I have a room that is two tone. Bottom half is a dark green with a deer pics border just above the light switch. Above the boarder is tan. Ceiling also tan. Carpet is a tan with green specs mixed in it. I have had allot of good comments on it. I call it my hunting room. It's where I keep my stuff now that my son has moved out on his own. I don't any of my mounts in that room but I think they would look good in there. I have them all in my great room which has high ceilings.
I like the earthy colors too. Too many people use a beige or sand and I wanted something different. I had a friend who's house was sage green and I loved it so I went with it. My room is much larger than his and I'm really happy with it. Animals and antlers all contrast very nicely.
Mule power that is the same green I have and Michele told me "Its getting changed!" my front room "New Game room" and foyer are all painted this sage green and I love it. She said it needs to be painted a bone color she says it will make the new bear rug pop better???
The only furniture that is staying is the leather couch the rest gets pitched when the hardood floor gets installed?
Bone is nice but it doesn't contrast with my lighter colored hardwood floor enough. The room is too bright. Sage is relaxing, not too bright not too dark AND... I feel like I could walk over and scratch it and the smell would remind me of doing the belly crawl somewhere in eastern Wyoming for antelope. Same color as lichen on the tundra too. It's staying!
I like the contrast between that bear and the flowery picture on the wall. :^)
I kind of stumbled onto the wall colo I ended up using.
Darn I phones turn the pics
And regardless of how I rotate them they are wrong. I went with stone and barnwoods I did myself.
Barnwood using a brad nailer and lots of contractor adhesive.
The color goes great with the stone, barnwoods and mounts
This next week I am picking up my Shiras Moose mount.
So anyway here is the color I liked.
MathewsMan, is the flooring a stained concrete or some kind of sheet flooring? I have carpet in mine but am thinking of ripping it up and staining/polishing the concrete- would love to hear how you did it if it is indeed stained.
We have in concrete radiant heating, so wall to wall carpet limits the efficiency. The floors in our house that are not travertine tiled were acid washed for different color schemes. It is permanent and super easy to clean.
I've recently moved and haven't done a new trophy room, but in my old room I used colors similar to Mule Power. It was a little darker , similiar to guacomole, I believe the color was called wadding boots. In a flat paint I thought it looked great. I have seen guys post pics on here with a kinda dark burnt yellow color that ill use in my next room also.
I used suede paint. It takes some extra work but gives the walls a leather look.
Martin Man,
What are your ceiling heights?

You don't want to do wood in a basement. Moisture issues. I really like the way stain looks. Also, they make tiles that look like wood now. See link.
I used a similar color as Mathews Man. It took my wife about 6 trips to the paint store to make the color.
She refers to it a " cut corn" color :). I'm also happy she got involved.
Here's the colors I chose. I like it. seems to put the focus on the animals. Small room, but it works
Alabowma, Just under 8 feet. It's a room I finished in my basement.
I will try to get a better picture tonight. These really do not show the effect very good.
I used a light color that is neutral and it hi-lights the color of each skin. There is a texture on the walls instead of plain knockdown. The floor is brown bamboo.
I see that the texture does not show up on the photo. It has a "layered" look, kind of like a swirl but not in a circle.
Went with a country blue and barnwood. Really like how it turned out. Also built my own barnwood murphy bed for company.
I love the barnwood looks - very sharp.
I'm a big fan of pine T&G. Going to be doing my room soon. Just had a baby on Saturday so it's on the backburner for a bit. But no need to tape and patch or paint cost will come in almost the same here, unlimited places to hang heads, and the nail holes disappear.
I have tried some different colors. I still like a sandy brown or khaki. I have attached a picture with some samples.
Here is another picture with my deer. Left is my wife's first deer. Second is my Illinois bow kill. Third is my Alabama bow kill. Fourth is a dog drive buck and fifth is a rifle kill. Excuse all the wedding gifts....
Part of your choice should be to consider having a light color behind the darker animals, deer, elk, etc. and a darker color behind the RM goat and Dalls. Putting a dark color behind the deer and elk requires a lot of lighting to make them show decently.
Lowes had a paint called tomato bisque that I really like for one of my spaces
....well that sucked, but you can see the color lol
Light brown in the main part
This is just one room in my basement, but I did log on one wall and 10" pine on the others. The floor is ceramic tile that looks like wood.
ceramic tile floor - looks like wood, great for basement, but not cheap.
