At the sheep orientation today the Fish and Wildlife person was talking about protesters trying to interfere with a sheep hunt one year. A game warden was called in and he arrested two of them. They couldn't get a sheriffs deputy to come out so the warden locked them up in a horse trailer where they spent the night. Never were two people so happy to be hauled into a station to be booked.

This was 1987 the first year they reopened a sheep hunt here.

Here's part of the article. They did sue for one million but a Sacramento superior court arbitrator dismissed the case.
