Any one remember an article written in the 80’s about a Michigan bowhunter killing a skunk ape, Bigfoot? Can’t find the story on the net . He had photos of him holding it up . I remember it had a white and black face with thin eyes. It was a popular Magazine just don’t remover what one? Any one remover this?

I was a kid it seemed real, photos were close ups . I remember the face was almost white and the lips and eyes were thin and almost black

I wrote on in 1984. It was pure fiction but has been published several times since then. But was not about killing one.

I remember reading once about a mn hunter shooting one and taking the carcass on the road, as I recall you could view it frozen in a solid block of ice. He was investigated for murder and then his bigfoot disappeared.
