Work PC.
Why are my PM's not all showing on different devices?

For example, if I open a PM on my PC at work and reply, I won't see any subsequent replies from the sender on my home PC or phone. I have to wait until I come back to work to see the message. Seems to work vice versa as well.

Even my archived messages are all over the place as shown in attached pics.

I asked this same question a few months ago. It's irritating when you're having a conversation on a PC and then leave home and it's not on your cell. You get no response and you just assume the other person has discontinued the conversation, while the other end thinks you have snubbed them.

Now that I know, I try to start those conversations from my cell. PIA.

The problem is you are using a different registration on your phone than you are on your laptop. The PMs are tied to your registration number, so each unique registration will have different PMs.

To fix this, you need to pick one of these registrations as your official one, let's say it's your laptop. Then go to your phone and clear your cookies so Bowsite does not think you are registered. Then use your PIN number from your laptop registration (you can have this emailed to you if you no longer have it) and then you reclaim your original registration. From that point on, both your phone and laptop will be in sync.

This is a common mistake. I have one regular contributor with dozens of registrations. Instead of using his PIN, he just keeps registering a new profile under the same name and email on different devices.

Ambush, just checked your posts. Same thing, you are using two different registrations.

May be true on the phone but I was sure my work and home PC were both using the same registration number. I will clear the cookies and re-register the phone and work PC.

Thanks!

Ambush, you have two. I can see you posting under two different registrations recently. Just pick one registration and follow the instructions. Thanks.

Ok, thanks. I’ll see if I can manage that.

So if I clear cookies on the cell and PC then sign in with the same number, I’m good to go?

I find it's alot more fun to use someone else's registration number.......

Truth be told, the site probably needs 2-part authentication. Everyone's registration is comprised of only a single 8-digit number with no password authentication. So there’s nothing to prevent someone running a web app that would create a complete index of every member login. Of course it’s not as if we have cc numbers or dob’s or other personal info stored here. But we do have email addresses on file and a private message folder. Just a thought.

If you see Pat post some gay porn, it wasn’t me and I didn’t figure out his login number.

OK. Now I'm even more confused! (nothing new though)

So, looked up my original PIN # and its the one I use on my PC. I did get a new PIN# for the "Bowsite Mobile" app. So I signed my cell in under the old Pin # just now. Cell screens have changed and I have two completely different lists of archived PM's. ?? And I don't have a "Mobile Hunt" feature anymore.

And I cant find a "Log Out" tab on the cell or PC.

I know this is easy for most, but I still have a wind up alarm clock.

What is a private thread?

I'm all squared away.

WV....private thread?

04-May-18
Look in your pic's Nick. It says archived private threads(last 30 days). Not archived private messages.

04-May-18
Well, when I look at my archived message, it says the same thing. Never noticed that before
