What are the top 3 states you've bowhunted?
Lets see if there are some that are common
Alaska, Montana, Idaho. Those have been my favorites.
Colorado, Idaho and Missouri.

Montana Wyoming Colorado in no particular order.
Iowa, Alaska and Colorado.
Montana Colorado and Alaska. I’d list Alaska 3 times if it wasn’t breaking the rules.
CO, AK, NE
Provinces count? CO, NWT, AB
Alaska, Colorado and Wyoming.
CO, MI, SD (only 3 so far).
CO, BC and AZ with Alaska a close 4th and the NWT rapidly gaining ground . Been fortunate to bowhunt 14 states and 5 provinces/territories so far.
Top 3 as in best quality or most hunts?
1. Idaho....great opportunity state, and a hunting/fishing/outdoor culture permeates the state to a degree that is rare to find elsewhere.
2. Colorado....although getting harder to avoid the crowds, the trail hippies and the urban influence. Exception being the eastern plains.
3. Arizona....great management, would love to draw more tags to hunt there.
Colorado, home state, been lucky in draws and great opportunities. Utah and Az, best elk hunts of my life
Montana, Nevada & Arizona
New Zealand, Wyoming and Alberta.
AZ, NM, UT. Favorite to hunt bow and rifle, Wyoming.
1. Alaska...because it's Alaska. Need I say more?
2. Wyoming...#1 for success and quality on a variety of big game.
3. Colorado...First ever and most total Western big game hunts.
Colorado Minnesota Idaho And my home state Illinois for good whitetail
Az, Ut, Wyo
I would say Nv & Idaho are 4-5

Wyo, CO, NE
Haven't hunted AK, AZ, UT, NM, MT, ID.......yet.
Wyoming, Kansas (early 2000s), Wyoming ??
Northern NJ Central NJ And Southern NJ
LMAO, Shug! I was gonna post the same about PA! We really need to get out more! :-(
Actually I don’t know if I have any favorites...I will say Northern California is a beautiful place. Very underrated for its beautiful landscape.
Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba.
Colorado and Michigan. Actually those are the only 2 states I've bow hunted.
I've only hunted 3...Texas, MT, and Idaho. Each one was unique, and provided an excellent hunt.
Iowa, Wyoming, Kentucky. Colorado is awesome too.
Iowa, Iowa and Missouri. I'd put Iowa third too, but MO wasn't bad.
New York, Montana, and Washington.
CT Home of the successful live hunt, Arizona, Montana.
Oklahoma, Colorado and Kansas for 4 legged creatures.
MD, CO, WY. Don’t laugh, for deer MD is the best of the three and NE doesn’t even make the list.
WY Nm Co
Generous with nr bow tags for multiple species
1) PA
2) ID
3) Tossup between OH and WV
Obviously this list is rather arbitrary. I do love my home stomping grounds.
I only have a 3 other states that didn't make the list though...CO, MD, VA
Alaska, Wyoming and Montana.
After thinking more about this I can’t leave out my parents farm in northern New Jersey. Deer were everywhere and all through my teens you could harvest upwards of 5/6 deer a season. That’s where it all began and it sure was fun
Colorado, Alaska, Nebraska
Favorites so far:
Alaska - 13
Colorado - 27
WY - 21
Montana - 10
Arizona - 15
Idaho - 16
Arizona (elk unit 9) New Mexico (elk unit 15 and 23) Wyoming (elk general and unit 32)
Arizona, New Mexico and Wyoming
1. South Dakota 2. Minnesota 3. Wisconsin
1. Colorado 2. Kansas (because I love whitetail hunting) 3. Oklahoma
Soon to hunt Utah and Wyoming.
Alaska by a wide margin, Montana and the Yukon. Not a state but to good to leave out.
NM, IA. IL elk, deer, deer
CO, MT, WV ( home state for white tail)
I have never had a desire to hunt much big game other than whitetails so I would say Kansas, Illinois and Montana. Shawn
That is a good question. I had a blast hunting in South Dakota last year. Even though no tags were filled. Nebraska has been very good to me. Lastly I am in love with Wyoming.
Top 3 would be Alaska, Colorado, Utah.
In comparison I have also hunted the following in no particular order: CA, HI, ID, AZ, WY, KS, AR, VA, TX, and Some international
Colorado- 9 species. Arizona 2 species. My wife is worried that if I hunt Alaska, I won't want to return to Colorado-Californicatia
Southern NY is the best I have hunted. No other state has come close, so I wont even bother listing the others.
Colorado, MAN, and state of mind.
Who: World class handle:)
Alaska, Montana, Arizona (My home State of ND isn’t bad either)
Glad you didn’t ask favorite Province because I love them all! BC, Yukon, AB, NWT, Manitoba, Sask, Newfoundland, Quebec, Nunavut, Ontario.
Alaska, Wyoming , Ohio.. I’m a Coloradoan so it’s #1.. I’m assuming not our home states.
That's impossible. I can't cut my list down any lower than 5 and even then I'm leaving off a few great ones. I quit. ;)
I agree Whip, I just can't do it.
For Whitetail I love northern Ws. for the Deer I see & they have some awesome Bucks. (have no idea how many times I have traveled there since 1958 & plans for 2018 too.. For Whitetail & head gear it's my home state of Ill & where I live now, Iowa. For Elk I have to go with my love for Colorado & 30+ trips into the mountains.
