Awesome Bear! I found a fox den just a couple hundred yards from our house two weeks ago. I've had a ball watching them romp and play with each other. They grow up FAST! We live on the edge of a fairly urban area as well so it was quite a surprise to find them there!

Brotsky, I live very close to a large shopping center with a Target, about twenty clothing stores and some restaurants. I see a fox once a month or so. I think it's probably the same one each time. I leave for work at about 3:30am each morning it's really cool to see the fox, kind of like "You may be sneaky but I know you're out there!" type of feeling.

Those are some real cool pictures. When I first built my house (I am in the middle of a big city) I had a fox that lived in the area. I would see him every now and then in the backyard. He would sit on a dirt mound when the house was being built and watch the neighbor dog in his fence.
Unfortunatley I saw him dead on the on ramp to the freeway on day.

Those little buggers love to play fight with each other. There's not a minute that goes by it seems when they aren't rough housing each other. The fox's by my place are like a bunch of little kids, always picking at each other until one gets mad enough to start something. Funny as heck to watch!

Bear, what time are you getting most of your pictures? "My" foxes are really active right away in the morning and at last light. I'm assuming they are active more after dark as well. I rarely have seen them out of the den during the day.
From: Bear

Early morning and evening are sometimes active and always afterr dark and some days in the middle of the day but not often The adult seldom shows up in front of the cam. I bring them a treat everyday when I check the cams .They don't pop out and take the treat but wait a few hours before they come back out No midday pics today at the first den they were out 8:30 pm to 4:35 am Here are a few from today

When I look back at the pics from the lastcouple months the ring dtd not show up until a couple weeks ago and they were pretty big then.Could have been caught in a live trap or somehow got it caught in his ear while trying to get in a duck pen about a 1/4 mile away.

It was mentioned earlier about being surprising fox were close to urban areas. They do that to avoid the coyotes.

Thanks guys They are just on the edge of a small town along the railroad tracks she split the pups into three different den site 200 yds apart I have a camera on each site and usually get on or two sometime three and some times four I think they move around back and forth so its hard to tell. The weather has been pretty damp lately and makes it hard to get good pics. One day I will hardly get any pics and the next a lot.The first fox pic from this thread is in the june Field and Stream magazine showing that it won the spring contest last year along with my name and town . I won this year again with the mother standing in front of the den with the kits nursing under her.
