I talked to Tred yesterday and his spirits are high. They think they have the cancer under control hopefully!! He should be heading home in about 3 weeks? not sure.

I am trying to find a utv for him to get around the ranch on. We also ordered a special needs saddle that should be done in about 8 weeks.

Thats all I Know.

Herd, I believe they found the "stroke" was brought on by cancer of the spine. Not sure on the details. Hopefully He will recover from this.

Tred was diagnosed with cancer of the blood. This form of cancer produces to much protiens. The protiens thicken the blood therefore restricting the flow, in this case it was to his spine!!

It dosen't seem fair that this has happened to Tred. I see so many guys his age that don't do S@@T except sit in front of the T.V. I guess on the bright side Tred is the kind of guy that can take this bad situation and make the best of it. God help him!

Dan, Thanks for keeping us up to date on Tred. All this just brings home for all of us how frail our life can be, and the fact that nothing is for certain. Unless I missed it, I am kind of dissapointed that there was not even one word of this happening to him on Versus. They play his reruns, but I have not seen anything about his current condition. Anyway, I sure wish him all the best in the world, and if anybody can come out of this, it is Tred.
