I will be driving back from Southeast Idaho going through Wyoming and then Denver area. Anyone recommend a good taxidermist that can tan an elk hide I can drop off on my way back?

To tan an elk hide there hair off is like $70. You can also choose the color you want from red, blue, black, green, smoke, tan, gold, etc. They really do first class work.
