Any of you hardcore elk hunters have any wildlife tattoo's?I just had this one done.
I've got several that i will share soon. great tat...
I like that one THEBUGLER, it's simple and classy.
i may be "trkyslr" but i got some elk on me :)
Never felt the need to do that but the guy I hunt with has a caveman shooting a bow on his back.Actually looks pretty cool.
Trkyslr, that is a great tat.
2X 1Rudeman! That's about the coolest elk tat I've seen.
predator,
That is some serious artwork right there....or did you have to wet it with a rag and press real hard?
I've accumulated more than my share of accidental scars on my body over the years.
I have no need to pay someone to add more. lol
Sapcut, that was 4 hours under the needle. I am more than satisfied with the results.
Predator,
I know nothing about tattoos but those tatooers appear to be mighty talented dudes.
Predator: That tat is amazing!!
For our Anniversary we got eachother Tat's. I drew up a tribal band with a Red Hartebeest, Warthog and Springbok integrated into it.
My wife had a flower with each of the kids initials on the top of her foot near her toes, man I've probably had around 100 hours of work done and there's no way I would put something on the top of my foot- she didn't hardly even wince about it.
I've been wanting to get something for my Ninth Colorado Species with a bow, but I'd have to finally draw a stinking Moose tag for that to ever happen....
Another +1 for the pigdoc!
To each his own NVA,lets see that bloody mug of yours again, then again we won't have to wait long before you 'draw' attention to yourself.
Crickets chirp chirp... Chirp chirp.....
Some really great work guys!
My wife actually does tattoos, and I only have two small ones. Both contain alot of meaning.
Tattoos are not for everyone. Rarely is a tattoo done as an attempt to draw attention to the person...
some guys bring attention to themselves with tattoos others with tales of how far they run. why would one guy slam the other......neither matters to anyone else but themselves anyway
Not a big fan of tats, especially on young people. What you think is cool now, may not be so cool 30 years from now. Will probably look like a big birthmark by then, too.
That bear is some seriously good artwork, tho.
Bullchaser,
I posted my 'bloody mug' only after several guys, a couple of whom are good friends, urged me to. Get a life.
I try to "get" tats, but for I can't. I guess it's like graffiti. I know there is "art" in it, and some of it do look cool, but I don't want any on my house.
To each his own though, tats of critters are "cool" but just not for me.
Gotta love the tats of butterflies that almost every tubby chick gets on either her ankle or shoulder. Do they really think of themsevles as butterflies? How big of wings must one have to float a 400 pounder? :^)
Watts
Watts, do you mean the ones where it looks like a hummingbird is trying to lift an 18-wheeler?
Watts, do you mean the ones where it looks like a hummingbird is trying to lift an 18-wheeler?
About a yr ago I jumped in & got my 1st. It is of a bull I took, the artist did a great job with it. My big mulie is next. DanTBM
I went to Africa and took a trophy dik-dik and had a tattoo done of him. Based on where I had it applied I will not show it it you, but a picture of the animal is shown above.
LOL! Darn near spit my breakfast on the computer! That should keep me chuckling to myself this morning. :^)
Leadspreader,
Yepper!
Tattoos aren't for me and I don't like seeing them on others. I will say there are some nice ones on this thread and if I were to get one it would be of wildlife. I'm glad Bou is keeping his dik to himself.
Bou there was enough surface area? Lol
Ahh... Yes, the off season. Brings talk of dik-dik tattoos and grown men shaving their junk. Only on bowsite.
A good friend of mine's son pointed out a girl to him several years ago and told his dad " She's got a tattoo of a chili pepper on her ass ". RJ told his son " Don't worry boy, it will be a bell pepper in a few years ". That is what I always think about when the tattoo subject comes up.
I like tattoos almost as much as having taxidermy work done on a new species archery harvest...
My bowhunting tatt. posted because it was asked by the thread originator. I don't give two shits who likes it (or tatts in general)or who doesn't, so save it.
Fuzzy, I recognize that hog!
I like the simple tattoos. Some look pretty cool, and the level of artistic ability on some are amazing.
But, I just don;t understand people that have them all over their body like wallpaper and get both arms, both legs, neck (bald)Head etc...............done up all in tattoos. BUT, to each their own! If it makes ya happy, who and I to judge. ;-)
There is some really nice work posted here.
Legendary Whitetails Logo w antler band Damn shin bone stings a bit when the needle hits it!
I was never much of a tattoo guy until I got one. I don't regret it, but hope to never get another
Mine has no hunting significance at all. But is very significant to my family
Dang, Fuzzy, you need to do some manscaping on them shoulders. :)
Here's one I saw online I thought was cool....
Boubound....Given the name of the critter I hesitate to think where the tattoo MIGHT be!!!!
I have no desire for tattoos. I cant help to think what some of these intricate designs will look like in 30 years. If you want to tattoo your body though....have at it. I realize that tattoos are pretty much mainstream and that I am pretty much not. Lol
Don't listen to him Fuzzy. Keep rocking your curb feelers. "Silky" would be a crappy handle.
Held off as long as I could..... must..... click..... submit....
Those are cool looking but some look harder than others to peel off.....
Not sure who told you that Scotty but this is the Legendary Whitetails logo.
Like any artwork, some of these tattoos you look at and say wow. Others you look at and say wow.
nah...I came into this world without one and I plan on leaving this world without one
Some of the artwork is amazing, but I never got one for three reasons. “Ouch”,”permanency” and “why tinker with perfection.” ?
Elk seem to inspire hunters most to go get inked. That stuff gets in your blood huh!
My son got this when he turned 18.....
