Cas I was at the store here in Connecticut. I see them in the tacks where they had 30 rebates to end if year I believe but the sale ended on the 11th I believe so maybe it's a store sale . It was just the 8.0

Great camera and even better price....

I have several BTC 8.0s. They are great. After spending $100s on batteries with low end scouting cameras, I got the BTC 8.0 in 2010 for $175/each and the battery life is 1yr plus on 8 AA batteries. That alone is unbelievable. These cams have all the features you need combined in one trailcam: Photos (3MP, 5MP or 8MP), Video (with audio) and Time Lapse/Plot watcher. When these trailcams first came on the market, they were $299/each and worth every penny, just on the battery life alone. To get them for $99 in camo pattern is a steal.

I just saw the Cabelas flyer for this week, Dec 12-18, and it has the BTC 5.0 on sale $79 (after $30 rebate). I could have sworn I too saw the BTC 8.0 for $99... unless that was last weeks flyer?

Smoothie I went yesterday ( Monday ) the sale is for the 8.0 the 5.0 was last week. I bought 2 8.0 for 129.00 but now I send in for the rebate of 30 each . I also had 20 dollars off 150 or more so I get them for 89.00. Also I grabbed 5.0 but when I got to the register it rang up 169 cause that sale ended last week however I went upstairs and showed the guy it still said 109 on the rack so they had to give it to me plus ill get 30 rebate for that one two

I think what it is when I went into the Hartford ct store that flier is by the bathroom. I'm not do sure I got the flier at home but yes good to the 11

10-Dec-13
The Cabelas flyer I got yesterday is for Dec12-18th, so that's when the 5.0mp will be on sale for $79.99. I'm not sure if it has the same features as the 8.0. Seeing it's a trophy cam, it might.

I've had a 5.0 for about 3 years now...I'm pretty satisfied, although the night shots stopped working about 6 months ago. Battery life on it is incredible.

This sounds like a very good deal.

Best of Luck, Jeff

Smoothie aren't u in ct?? Of you want the 8.0 I'd go today. The flier at store had the 8.0 this week the 5.0 last week and they wouldn't say next week

Yes Joe, I'm in Connecticut. Cabelas putting the 5.0 back on sale Thursday (Dec12th) apparently. I have several 8.0s. The funny thing is the 5mp photo seems to come out better than when put on 8mp. I'm not the only one who thinks this way either; few of my buddy's have the same BTC. You will not be disappointed with this trailcamera Joe, especially for what you paid for them. Great shopping! I do recommend getting lockbox ($30 amazon) and Python cable lock ($12.99 amazon).

The next trail camera I purchase however will be the cutting edge Moultrie Panoramic 150 (supporting link). Its just a matter of time before all brads have this new type of technology feature. The cost is reasonable too.

This is the 2011 Bushnell camera rebranded by Cabelas. It is the non HD 8 megapixel version that is no longer made by Bushnell. I went to a couple sites that review trail cameras and they recommended spending more for the HD 8 mp version as it took much better night pictures and had other upgraded features.

Does anyone have experience with this older non HD Bushnell camera. I believe the HD cameras were $160-170 and also available for $30 mail in rebate.

It is cabelas but it still says bushbel right on camera . It's not hd but its about half the price. My 2013 cabrlas archery catalog has them on the back page

jbr(CO), I've used the older non HD Bushnell for 5yrs now. I've been extremely happy with it. I normally put mine up the end of Jul/beginning of Aug, and remove it in Sep. Never had a problem with the batteries.

Here's a few pics so you can see for yourself.

Thanks for pictures and info. I have several of the HD cameras and they work great. I found the HD cam for $159 at a cabelas competitor ($169 at cabelas) so the debate is Bushnell 8.0 mp for $99 or Bushnell 8.0 mp HD for $129 after rebate.

I did one better, got 2 of the 5.0 mp. for $79.99 after rebates, with a "$20 off purchase of $150" coupon it made them $69.99 each. $100 off each one!!
