Getting new strings for my motive 7, which brand is your favorite, I've kinda narrowed it down to winners choice, vaportrail or 60x. What does everyone think?
Bluff Country Bowstrings....Rick makes awesome strings and is great to deal with.
Used to Bucknasty strings, but I think John stopped making strings a while back.
The last set I purchased from JBK strings. So far I have been very impressed. The strings and cables were flawless and have had zero peep rotation so far after at least a thousand shots.
I've heard mixed reviews about Vaportrail, but I've never had a set myself. Winners choice makes good strings, but they're a little more pricey.
I'm running 60x on my DNA right now. So far they've been great. I've got over 1000 shots through them with no issues.
I've used vapor trail and I really like them.
good service, fast shipping, fair price.
I am also a big fan of Vapor Trail.....great products, great prices, and fast service. Have used them many times over the past 10 yrs. A few weeks ago I ordered a string & cable for my Anarchy - ordered them via their website on a Thursday evening, and received them on the next Monday.
tall tine bowstrings in south dakota makes some great strings.
Korbin's Strings makes a great set of string and cables. Just put a set on my Alpha Max and am very pleased. About a 3 day turn around from ordering to on my door step.
I've used WC, Vaportrail, and Korbin's.
Best value was Vaportrail and Korbin's.
Parkinson's strings have been an absolute pleasure to shoot. They last, they don't stretch and my peep is as square today as it was when I had them put on. Check him out for sure...
I still prefer WC. Getting ready to order a new one in fact.
Octane backbone make amazing strings.
Winner's Choice. It's the choice of winners.
Seriously though, same observation as Nick albeit different string: No peep rotation (I shoot tubeless), same lb draw as when they were put on.
I've about 5000 shots on my current string/cables and it is the exact same string as the day I bought it.
So many good choices out there. I've had a few recent sets from JBK and Proline. Both quality string sets.
I'll second 60X, just got a set. They are quality,
Thanks for the recommendations. There are several great string builders out there and I'm just honored to be mentioned among them.
Another vote for Vaportrail. Fair priced and service second to none.
Learn to make your own. It is very easy. You control the quality.
Johns Custom Strings
Contact him over on AT, his handle is Breathn
Best tune and strings available.
There are a bunch of really great string makers out there, it would be hard to go wrong with any well known makers. I am currently using tall tine bowstrings and I have been very impressed.
Ordered 60x strings today
What's the difference regarding the standard Bowtech and Mathews strings and cables vs a custom set from 60x, Vapor Trails, etc?
Park-N-Sons Archery, Mtn Home IDAHO. Tom is a Perfectionist and Strings/Tune second to none...
I'll never buy another set of vapor Trail Strings or cables again!! Never seen a string stretch so much. Winner's Choice strings may be expensive, but you get what you pay for, and Mike has the science down to make the best strings on the market today. Even my recurves and Coup Sticks wear Winner's Choice strings.
I have never had a set of vapor trail strings and cables stretch! They are the only string/cables that I have on the three bows that I currently own.
I've owned WC, vapor trail and now Korbins. Can't comment on the korbins yet. Never had any trouble with winners choice at all. Tried a vapor trail last year. The factory string on my diamond marquis was vastly better than that vapor tail. Servings slipped soon after installing it. Which tells me the string indeed did stretch. Never had that trouble with winners choice on my other bows. Trying a Korbins after seeing their recommendation on here several times.
I roll my own. ;)
