Decided to make a leather pouch to carry odds and ends that does not fit into my Camel back when hunting.

Thanks for the comments.

Spike Bull: It is a saddle stitch done by hand. The leather is 8-9 oz. I used contact adhesive just to keep things together and used a drill press with a small dia bit to drill the holes to make it easier to do the stitching.

It is fairly straight forward for the 1st panel (front) ... however becomes a tedious job to do the back ... just make sure the width of the pouch allows you to get in there ... also I always have two needles on the outside of the pouch when I tighten/pull the stitch ... hopefully it makes sense.

His and hers in pic ... mine is a bit larger and I was a in a hurry to attention to detail a bit lacking. Good chance I'll be buff hunting for 5 days in a weeks time so the pouch is just in time.

Cheers, Eugene

As one who does some leather work on shooting pouches for blackpowder guns and custom knives I can tell you that is well done sir. Good idea too. I hunt pretty well out of a climber on public land so a backpack is a no - go for me. This is a good idea to pack those odds and ends needed for long sits. Nice work!
