Can someone please give me a rundown of the general wind direction from prior to sunup till sundown in mid-November?
Much appreciated,
Ike

SW Nebraska is like most of the west. The dominant wind is a w or SW wind. I've hunted there early Nov and had gale force S winds, westerly breezes and dead calm. Once in awhile you get a north wind but it's not typical until a little later towards winter.
Good luck, numbers are down significantly from a couple of years ago but good habitat still has plenty of deer.

Ike, I'd second what these guys have said. I'll also add that if you're hunting the area I suggested it hunts like riverbottom and often certain drainages have their own wind patterns. They are easy to figure out compared to mountain winds and you should not have any problem. I never think about the wind when I turkey hunt there and I have deer within bow range almost every sit. I'll be in Jersey when ya roll thru otherwise I'd buy ya a beer. Good luck!
