I wont get him. I still hunt every year and fill my tags but its more important to me to let my kid get him if it works out. I am hoping my daughter gets him this weekend when the season opens for the youth. It's her 1st year with a bow so wish her luck. She shoots pretty good and practices every day because I am an A-hole and will not allow her to hunt until she has a 3-4 inch maximum groove with her arrows. She is real close now. Last week she was at 5 but hey that wasn't bad for only shooting 6-7 times up to that point. I am more excited for hunting of any kind than I have been in years because I want to watch her succeed. It was intense two years ago when she got her 1st deer with a gun. More intense than any hunt I have ever been on myself. lol. I was shaking...
As to more bucks on cam...I have a crap ton all in one area actually. I think the count on one cam is up to 9 or 10 now over the past 15 days. Its like they decided to post up near that specific area for a spell because I only had 1 or 2 a month ago. Check the MI thread under trail cam pics and you will see 4 or 5 just from the one time I checked the card. They all are 1.5 yr olds and one that is 2.5. Most are little dinky bucks and some weird looking racks lately. I am wondering where the big bucks went or if they are just late to the show this year. Time will tell. If you take a look that's where my kid and I will be sitting enjoying ourselves this weekend for some daddy daughter bonding time and making memories..
