Bowhunted them in Australia during the rut, and it was a blast. They are aggressive, vocal, and can be called and rattled in. You can have a great, affordable hunt for multiple species in Oz for the price of one hunt here in the states, no limit, no licenses.

Pretty cool. I arrowed my first fallow buck last week in New Zealand. Just a spike but I look forward to hunting then during the rut.

Aargh!! Stop it Andy!! You know I'm in the UK where we have masses of Fallow, but no bowhunting...thankfully the British Bowhunters Association is working hard to get bowhunting reintroduced

The Rut is in April, There is a strong Fallow deer herd in Australia, It would support some world class animals if we did'nt have every tom, dick and harry out there trying to "eradicate" the "feral" deer...
These deer are crazy vocal during the rut, like no other animal iv hunted in that regard, makes for some excellent bowhunting!
Amazing what a VPA on the front of a goldtip can do out of a well tuned bow Jim. Man I cringe watching the US shows where arrow after arrow don't go right through whitetail...Its rare for us not be be picking our arrow up out the dirt on anything other then Buffalo.

There is some public but you really need private access Jim. I use GoldTip Kinetics have for years.
