Haven't heard the story on this one yet but WOW....just WOW!
The hunter's name is Kyle Falck from Burr Oak, IA, which is way up in the NE corner of the state....Allamakee county...one of the top trophy counties in the country.
Like I said, know nothing of the story, just received the pic that is posted on an archery shop's fb page.
I'd be smiling too, congrats to Kyle!
That's what dreams are made of!! Wow!
Man thats a lot of bone!!!!! Congrats to the hunter
Sweet lord! That, is a big, big, big deer!
Yeow!!! What a Stud! Is that a noted county for big bucks?
Man alive, what a stud ! I don't know if my knickers would stay up if he walked in my lane !
Wow, would like to see a picture from a few steps back
An Iowa Giant, yes indeed! Awesome.
Good Gravy...Man that is a nice buck!
wow, what a hog. nothing on his facebook page yet
Great Job! AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Michael, check out Anthem Archery LLC fb page.
That's buck has it all !!!
For the 13th or 14th time - WOW what a buck! Congrats to the "lucky" hunter!
Wow! What a massive buck! Incredible!
Winneshiek county. Kyle shoots a lot of big deer. He isn't lucky. He's good. Two over 180 last year. One bow, one muzzleloader.
Any pics of those other two bucks floating around, Pat?
I've got em. Wouldn't want to share them without Kyle's permission. If I run into him I'll ask. Friend of a friend.
Actually I think there's too much out there on this already. Also Dont be surprised if he does the same thing this year.
2013 muzzy kill. Hunter says 177 gross main frame 8 pt.
2013 gun kill. He says second season shotgun tag....180"
Didn't see a 2013 bow kill.
My understanding was the second pic you posted was 2013 bow kill. It is entirely possible I'm wrong. Wouldn't be the first time. I've seen some of the comments on Kyle's Facebook page and i'm starting to feel bad for him. People are idiots. I'm really hoping this thread doesn't go in that direction.
Well, you kind of open yourself up for that when you share all over the web. It should be expected these days.
Myself, I would have kept it between myself, family, and friends. A lot less hassle and might help protect his hunting area.
I'm glad he shared it, though....it's a fantastic trophy.
I get so tired of passing up deer like that only to have them cross the property lines and get shot by someone else. Let them go and grow :).
Congrats on a truly awesome buck!!!!!
wow. non-typical in every sense of the word. That's wild.
Congrats to Kyle. wow.
Curious, are there anti hunters harassing him on facebook? What kind of comments?
I guessed it at 219 wow good for this guy !!
I guessed 250" on the big one.
Man, that's a beautiful deer!
Whopper.
Northeast Iowa and Southeast Minnesota is excellent deer country. Just about perfect in fact.
Are you kidding me! Wow again.....I only seen them that big in photographs.........hold on ...wait....I still have only seen them that big in photographs! Trophy of ten life times.
Kyle shot that buck the first day he hunted him. Spooked him a couple days earlier hanging stands. Buck was walking in his boot prints, right at his stand. Frontal shot. Had been getting pictures and was gonna hunt till he killed him.
Hunting coyotes with him one time. It was about 20 below and we spotted a coyote running into the woods. Kyle jumped out of the truck, grabbed his gun and took off after him on foot with no gloves, coat or hat. The rest of us pansies drove around the other side of the section. Coyote beat us there. Kyle came running out of the woods about 70 yards behind him and shot him on a dead run. He ran a coyote down through a rough section of land in knee deep snow. Then he didn't miss. Guys a killer.
I'm guessing that's going to take top 2014 whitetail honors, maybe for rifle or bow. A toad in every sense of the word. Please post up when the story is published.
Story is posted on this site: Shot a few miles north of me. Sure wish I lived in the northern part of the county. Congrats Kyle.

What a blessing to have animals like that where you hunt.
I assume that hog has passed on his DNA, can you imagine the other giants that will be hunted (and are hunted) in that same area….???!!!
Congratulations to the hunter!
pointingdogs....thanks for the link. Very smart of him to have LE and DNR there for the recovery. That should take care of any speculation or accusations by jealous idiots.
Man.....That is a TOAD!!!
