Good morning. Been in the tree since 5:30am. I now have a big doe feeding at 32 yards going to pass her. No bucks behind her yet but going to sit tight. Good luck everyone hunting this morning

So I'm watching this doe feed and i hear something behind her look and see what I believe to be a 10 point buck! She fed all around my stand for about 20 mins and started to feed away from me when the buck noticed her leaving he came in range and gave me a broadside shot at exactly 30 yards. I watched him make a dead run full bore and crash maybe 70 yards from my stand! Doe ran off and I'm starting to shake now bad!! I love bow hunting! Live hunt successful! Pics soon going to hunt a little while longer! Great day to be a bow hunter!

Two of my buddy's are hunting here with me this morning so I'm sticking it out in the tree because they are still hunting. Im over 1000 yards away from one and half mile from the other. It's Saturday so I want them to hunt entire morning since we work all week. I am having a tough time sitting in this tree knowing I shot a buck! Camt wait to track the buck together in about an hour

Sorry to keep you all waiting and totally forgot I had a live hunt going because I was so excited!! Great morning. Here's what happened. I was watching a doe feed in front of me for over 40 mins and he came right in to ten yards. i then caught movement behind her and saw a mature buck coming in!! He slowly worked his way into 30 yards and gave me a broadside shot and I let it fly. The hit was good I watched him run 70 yards and pile up from the stand! I climbed down went and got my buddy's and we did the track and recovery together. Nothing better than a successful day in the deer woods! Big mature 10 point I shot on state land with my bow. He has no teeth left! Not one tooth! I'm so pumped all the hard work this year paid off this morning.

Thank you everyone so much. I really appreciate all the comments. He weighted 165lbs field dressed but the scale may be off a little! Hahaha I'm going to check it. I am almost speechless. I have hunted hard all season and have spent over 190 hours And many long days in the stand hunting over 12 locations on state land all throughout Connecticut passing young and immature bucks and Saturday morning November 22 was when it all came together. I am very greatful to have had a Chance to harvest a mature buck like this one here and on state land with my bow!
I love my mossy oak treestand camo! Keeps me warm and still so I can sit long and motionless waiting for big mature bucks in the deer woods whatwhatintherut!!

that's a beautiful buck, and REAL trophy for state land. Just think of how many hunters haven't even seen a deer like that let alone get a shot at one. Took me 16 years to let an arrow go at a big state land deer, and you look like you're just 16 :)
Here's a suggestion. While the hunt is still fresh in your mind, write it down from start to finish and place it in a picture frame under the mount. Years from now when you're my age you and your friends can read the story and re-live it all over again.
