AS I looked for space in my freezer to add the WT I finished processing I realized that 2014 had been a very good season. I had hunted three species here in my home of New Mexico ,failing only on my quest for a BC type antelope.The two species I chased in Texas where a free range axis buck,in May and my best WT last week.All hunts were self guided in new areas I had not hunted before. I hunted off the ground in natural blinds made from existing brush and bushes for the two Texas hunts and spot stalk for Mule deer and elk and a pop up for speed goats. On both the antelope hunt and the axis hunt I got some great pics of ones that were out of range or too small etc.I am blessed with a job with flexible schedule,and wife who can hold down the farm when I am gone.
