I thought I'd do a hunt for you guys stuck at work today. I'm hunting an archery only public land area in central Arkansas. This area has been good to my buddy Scott and I over the last 3 seasons, we've harvested 3 bucks and 2 does from it...

North 12 o'clock, I'm surrounded by 3 bedding areas to the North a 5 year old clear cut to the West is a pine thicket and to the East on top of the ridge is a 6 year old pine plantation, very thick. This spot is a little bowl in between all 3, I come in from the South about 3/4 of mile from the parking area., nice and secluded.

Thanks, here's a pic of 2012's, not quite as big as last year but it was an exciting hunt, I rattled him in at 10 in the morning. Public land rule#1, never climb down before 1030, I've killed quite a few between 10-11...

Since Pat does the boot shot, I figured I'd do a bow shot. 2013 Obsession Sniper, shot my MQ1, for 13 years up until last year. I like this bow but I'll always keep my MQ1 as a back up...

This is Buck the Bear, he goes with me on all my adventures. I know, why does a grown man have a stuffed animal. He was given to me 20 years ago by a special lady when we were stationed overseas. Although not the Hunter, that Lego Man is, Buck is a world traveler, He's been around the World. He's even loaded bombs on B52's for bombing missions in Afganghastan . His passion is bowhunting. He has a nose for tracking, although I'm not sure he can compete with trained tracking spiders... ;)
