Preventing string wear

I get excessive string wear between the top of my serving and my peep. I looked in the mirror at full draw and realized that to get proper alignment I pull my string hard against my face. It does not hurt my face but it does the string. I was considering serving the string higher to cover the area. Any thoughts?

I'd serve the string higher to protect the string or wax your face

Yup just extend the center serving up to your peep and it should solve your issue.
