Haven't heard of anyone getting their elk refunds yet. Maybe next week.

I just got my tag yesterday. Others have mentioned that the tags are sent before the refunds, not sure if that is true or not. But we are still waiting for my wife's refund.
Be happy though, I can remember when I started applying for my wife and I, refunds showed up around the fourth of July, so they have picked up the refund timeframe significantly.

Did you select the Leftover Draw option?
If you did, you wont get a refund until that draw is over

Elk usually run a couple of weeks later than deer. Deer came about 10 days ago. Maybe this week?

For those of you who have not received their refund and or tags I would give it til the end of the month at most then I would give the CDOW a call. I received my deer refund almost 2 weeks ago and have my elk tag in hand.

I wrote a letter to colorado and they sasid all checks will be mailed out by June 26th they send them out in batches and said I must have got lucky and got in the last batch??? But if I didn't recieve it by July 27th to call them back and they will look into it!! So there is still hope. I just got that reply today!!

I still haven't received mine for Elk yet. I called the Dept. Of Wildlife and was told they sent out the last "bundle" on Friday. Hopefully will have it soon.

Its rather funny. I just got off the phone with the DOW, the lady I spoke with said that the elk refunds were sent out on Friday. I told her that I had heard of others who had already received their elk refunds, at which she replied, they couldn't have, because we just sent them out on Friday. Oh well, I guess we will just have to see, but apparently she didn't know what she was talking about.

No elk refund yet here in Nebraska. Received our deer refunds 3wks ago. Can't believe it's taking this long.
Apparently, they're not making enough off mj sales and need to collect a little more interest off our elk refunds... Ha!

This drives me nuts. I don't remember ever getting my elk refund last year either, my bank account didn't show me depositing it. I called there back in January or so, the guy said it was sent on such-n-such a date and deposited on such-n-such a date. I assumed I just got cash with it and didn't deposit it......now I'm starting to wonder again since I still haven't recieved mine...........

I just called the DOW. The last of the checks went out the 26th of June. They told me if you have not received your check by the 26th of July they can submit a new one.

They sure are keeping my $464 along time , especially since they didn't give me a preference point because i didn't send the extra $10 for a habitat stamp. Seems to me they should return your money soon as they reject you. Colorado should use the same system Wyoming uses. But when they wouldn't be able to draw all that interest money.

I got my elk refund today in Vegas. This was a bad year. The check was dated June 12th and the envelope was post marked July 1st. Not really sure what happened this year but that sucks! The odd thing is me deer refund check was delivered on time.

You barely got your toes into no man's land. I am firmly entrenched at 19. Least valuable points in the west. Strongly advise you to burn your 7 next year and then never again get above 3 or 4 CO elk points. The return on investment past that is negligible. This is about the easiest call on the draw board.
