Im going back up next weekend. Cant wait. This thread certainly isnt helping.
It won't be long before they look like this again.
Great pics. Thanks for posting.
65 days and counting. Lovin the pics
One of my co-worker's son took some pics last weekend in our unit. Here are some average Bulls for the area.
Almost all game cameras are set and waiting. I'm excited to find bucks that eluded us last season. And bucks that were either passed up for future years or have never been captured by cameras yet.
I'm heading up this weekend again. Can't wait to get back out there.
I hope you will post up some more pics from this weekend. These have been great.
Any pics from this weekend?
I am headed up next weekend, so hopefully can add to this thread.
I was up doing work at the cabin the past few days. Didn't get a lot of scouting in but got a few pics from a distance. Lots of calves.
Photos never capture the aspens
bnt40 - good thing you are hanging on or you would fall on your head. lol
Lol no doubt Some of these 4 wheel drive roads are crazy wild especially for a flatlander
bnt40- I think you hiked too far. You are on the other side of the globe!
Z my conditioning paid off
I love the light velvet color on this bull.
Some nice bulls fellas. Thanks for sharing.

I didn't get to see any elk while setting up my trail cameras. But I did see some grouse!

The pics 2(2014),3 another 6x7 little right kicker. I though this guy got it last year, however looks like he made it!!!
In total there were 19 bulls in two groups 500 yds apart. Its getting close!!!!!
A couple from this weekend...
First post here, long time Minnesota resident turned CO resident 2 years ago. As they say, not a native but I got here as fast as I could.
I've been archery hunting CO specifically, with some trips to Alaska/BC, for years and have learned that with proper planning, patience, and a driving desire to hunt hard day in and day out will provide for success, however you may measure that.
The pictures below are a testament to the vast stretches of public land, heavily hunted or not, and the animals that they can support. With the items I mentioned above, we all have the opportunity to chase these amazing animals.
I hunt public land, OTC only, and do not pay any sort of trespass fee. I state this to simply counteract the age-old statement of "Too many people, not enough animals" that CO gets slapped with.
Enjoy.
Last one, promise :) I like the unique right side on this guy.
All I need to see in the summer.
MTNTAMER that non typical would be at the top of my list.

Stuck in MI this week at the lake..... no scouting for me.
Not as big as those Colorado bulls but a good size for Montana. I think he's just about done growin.
No boys in this pic, but I think these girls might attract a boy or two in Sept. (I couldn't get the whole herd in a pic, est 75-100 cows/calves)
1st basin I glassed.
Not from this year, but a good one I took a few years back...
