Broadheads hitting left tuning question

Question for all the tuning pros in here. I am setting up a new bow-PSE DNA 65@29". Shooting flatline 340s with 125gr tips. My field points seemed to be tuned so screwed on a broadhead and was 6" left at 20 yards. Tried a VPA, Slick Trick Magnum, and Magnus Buzzcut. All shot the same, ie to the left. I moved the rest about 1/16" right and then the BH were great but FP way right. Like a foot. I'm shooting a WB and am a lefty if it matters. Any suggestions for me? Should I go back and paper tune it and start over? Thanks!
Craig
I guess im full of it then. So if you cant do it then everyone else is full of it eh Jaeger? I cant shoot a perfect vegas rd... But know by the scores some do. Now where i may never shoot a 300, i know you can be taught to tune a bow.
OP, if everything else is perfect- arrow assembly, correct spine, good form, no contact and my FPs shoot bullet holes through paper...then i chase my BH group with my rest in very small incriments and its worked on at least 4 different bows for me, even that cam leaning Bowtech Allegiance.
When you move your rest toward the FP group, the FP group will move as well. That is normal. The idea is the FBBH being more effected by the move will move MORE than the FP group, but they both move. Eventually the BH group catches up and both groups come together. If not there is something else wrong preventing it.
Couple things. 1/16" IMO is far too much of an adjustment. When BH tuning 1/64 or less. Move just a hair and see what happens. When it's set down the pipe and paper tuning bullet holes you shouldn't have to move much at all to get BH to fly right. (make sure they spin PERFECTLY or all bets are off)
Secondly WB rests are good rests, but sometimes you will get a "bounce back" effect from them as there is a lot of contact with the rest, they can bounce from side to side on launch and it can depend on who gets the last bounce. In many cases you go to "chase" the FP and the groups don't close together or even separate farther. Move it the opposite and see what happens. They are famous for being "tricky" to tune.
Stick with it Craig. Once you learn it you'll have it forever.
BTW... I broke the blades on 2 broadheads over the last year just CHECKING my tune. Shoot a FBBH and follow it with a FP. FP broke the blades. You never shoot the other way around, shoot a FP and follow with a FBBH, that's just asking for damage.
Just off hand I'd say they hit right on top of each other, no need to adjust any sights when switching between FP or FBBH.... or between BH for that matter.
If a person can't there are issues somewhere that likely can be ironed out. That anyone feels it's too much work or trouble to iron it out is another issue altogether.
whats your draw length? whats the arrow length? they might be weak spined?
Could also be hand torque.
Ditto to Beendare and TD! To the German Hunter 63: if I said that a thing can't be done, just because I couldn't, I would be the one who was full of it!!! Just don't see the point in saying crap like that. I'm no Vegas shooter either, but would welcome to lay out BIG MONEY with any guy who wants to see BH's and FP's hit to the same place!! Let's do it and let money talk and BS walk! BTW< Jaeger, I'm of Germanic ancestry myself.
Thanks for all the input fellas. Heading to a friends house this morning to recheck timing, etc. will update results later.
TD spelled it out perfectly. Do not settle for disparate fp and bh groupings.
I wouldn't rule out under spine either. At 65 lbs on a DNA bow with a 340 spined arrow and 125 grain tip you are borderline underspine especially at 29".
I won't go hunting till my bow is tuned and I cant put broadheads with field tips.
Well got some answers today. Apparently one of the cams is bent. Not much but enough to throw everything out of tune. It's a brand new bow so hoping PSE customer service helps me out. Will know more next week.

Just put new cams on my new PSE DNA SP and I ordered a new string set only to find that the numbers on my tag were not correct for The SP model, so if anyone is ordering a new string set they need to measure the strings to c if they correspond to the the numbers on the bow tag. The tag says as follows: buss 32.25 control 34 string 60.37 after removing the string I found the new string was 1 inch longer than the original string on the bow. We tried a DNA string set and they were not correct either
Just heard from PSE that they are replacing my DNA with a 2015 Decree! That's customer service!

I had a 2008 pse dream season when I turned the limb bolts out to lessen the draw weight this spring the bolt threads were taking some riser material with them. I contacted PSE rep and to make a long story short they sent me a 2015 DNA SP at no cost. NOW THATS SERVICE.
your answer lies in yolk tuning as well. once you get your center shot dialed in you will want to yolk tune your L/R BH issues.
I will also agree with TD on the biscuit issues. I always seem to move the rest the opposite direction of logic. That hard ring plays havoc on an arrow. My experience is move the rest towards the point of the arrow versus toward the nock.
"now that's service" - Yes it is, but I would rather have a product not fail in the first place?
Why do people fret when their field points and broadheads don't hit the same point? They're not going to 100% of the time. Find a head that flies straight and does not plane then tune your bow for those BHs. Unless you plan on hunting game with field points...

I think we all agree that not having to use customer service is preferable, however, since the need arose I'm happy with the results. And I want my broadheads and field points to hit the same. Never had an issue before and I don't anticipate it happening again now that I know it was an equipment problem. I like practicing and broadheads tear my targets up. :)
