If $ were no object

I have a buddy that just had all of his hunting gear in a fire and I was asked to get opinions from you all on a new bow for him. He is 6'+ with a 31-32 inch draw, what would you buy for a new bow if $ were no object?
Mathews NoCam or Hoyt Carbon Element would be my picks.
Hoyt Carbon Element or Spyder
10,000 acres in Mississippi , and Texas. and the bow would be 64" left handed recurve from the best bowyer alive.
If he has a true 32" draw, I'd go with a longer ATA bow designed for longer draws. PSE Freak SP
Hoyt Carbon Spyder. I shoot a Hoyt but have heard good things about Matthews NoCam, though I have not shot one ...yet.
Hoyt Nitrum 34... I have one in 31 inch draw. Hands down the best shooting bow I have owned.
Hoyt Carbon Spyder ZT LD.
Keep it coming guys, as I will be forwarding link to him with your replys
I just shot a bare g5 rival. I was impressed.
Matthews but have not tried the no cam yet?
I'm 6'5 with a 31" draw.. Money wasn't an object to get a bow. I was willing to spend whatever on what shot and fit me the best. I shot a lot of different bows and decided to go with an Elite 35 at 80lbs. It is a great shooting bow and smooth and fits long armed apes like me.
Elite Victory or Energy 35
I have 4 bows currently and can promise you you're gonna have to put in work to find a better shooting bow! Crazy part is it's the cheapest of the 4 I own and prefer it over them all. Not a speed bow but the most forgiving you'll ever shoot
Sorry forgot to put the elite part in there
I'm another long draw guy who prefers Elite. have a 2013 Hunter and 2015 Synergy.
I'd give elite another vote
I would buy the same bow I'm shooting now, E35.
64" Cari-bow by Abe Penner either recurve or longbow with all the exotics you want. About $1600. Shawn
Xpedition Xcentric 7, one of the best bows out there right now that not many are shooting.
I could buy enough bow making material for $1500 to give me a new bow every 6 months until I die.
I do like the idea of buying 10,000 acres that straddles the Kansas/Missouri border, then having someone make me a custom recurve from one of the bois d-arc (hedge) trees on the property.
In the meantime, I'd probably just go buy another Mission like I've been shooting for about four years. I'm used to it, and it shoots better than I can shoot it.
Why change what's working?
Writer, those Mission bows do shoot very nice. Jeff, I would love to make my own but no time. Ever!! My last Cari-Bow was around $1200. It is a beauty though, some of the prettiest Myrtle you have ever seen for limb veneers. Shawn
Bowtech boss would be my #1 choice if I had a 31-32" draw. Cari-bows are super nice, I have a really nice silver fox that shoots as nice as it looks!
I too vote for Elite. I'm don't have a real long draw length but I bought an Elite Synergy a little over two weeks ago. Very sweet, forgiving bow.
Heck, if money is no object why settle for just one?
With his DL I wouldn't consider a bow unless it was at least a 35" ATA bow.
I am 6'2" and have a 31.5" DL.
Shoots like a dream
my vote is to go to as many pro-shops as necessary and shoot everything and pick the bow that you like the best
Writer, I do have the farm and the trees. Just not 10K worth:). We do really need to visit that farm. You will like it.
OP, If I were looking for a bow I would look toward Hoyt Carbon types. Not what I am shooting but on my "next bow" list.
Shawn, I haven't had a day off in 33 days and have been working 80+ hours a week. I know what being busy is about :^)
I'll always find time to make my own gear, and wouldn't be interested in buying a bow even if I hit the lottery. Just my thing I guess.
Elite 35. Had mine about 3 weeks very forgiving. Best groups i have ever shot, from 20 to 70.
hoyt spyder carbon 34''this bow is sweet, good luck
Asking a guy what bow you should buy if money was no object is pretty pointless,, 'cause everyone is going to tell you to go buy what they are shooting.. I'm thinking you aren't going to have a guy who shoots a Hoyt tell you to go try a Mathews.. If they did, that would be admitting that they don't like the bow they have. LOL Buy this one 'cause my bow sucks.. LOL
Yell your friend to go try out as many bows as he can. There are NO BAD BOWS now days. If a company turned out bad bows, they would be out of buisness within a year. Some/most bows "feel" differently from others and how one feels, whether good or bad to someone, comes down to the shooters physiology.
I like the way most Mathews,, not the Mcphersons feel, smooth draws cycle with a long valley. The Elites are sort of like that too,, which I used to shoot, a Pure. The Hoyts draw harder with a real short valley. Some folks like that. I didn't. The Bowtechs are good bows too, as are the latest PSEs. Like I said, there are no bad bows.
Tell your friend to just shoot a bunch of them,,, but tell him if he has $1,000 to spend, DO NOT PICK UP A $1,000 BOW!!!! Tell him to pick up a $600 or $700 bow and shoot them. I say this because he is going to have to buy a sight, quiver, rest, a stabilizer, etc. That will bring him up to,, or past the $1,000 mark.
If he has $1,000 and picks up a $1,000 bow, he either will go in to hock trying to pay for all the accessories, make his wife so mad because he over spent that he will never have sex with her again and she will make him miserable forever, or end up buying the $600-$700 bow with accesories, and not being happy with it, "'cause it doesn't shoot like the $1,000 bow."
Tell your friend to just have fun in the pursuit of the perfect bow, and don't be swayed by what Bowsite folks think he should shoot. Remember, opinions are like buttholes, everyone has one..... Some are just stinkier than others. ;-)
Peace, Jay
I actually recommended a bow I do not have. I like the one I shoot very well. I just think I would like a hoyt better.
Hoyt Carbon Spyder 34. Tack driver!
Now that i know i wouldn't buy another bow without static yokes!
Carcus, what happened with your Dartons? Tunability? Customer service?
Another vote for Elite E35
