I bought a new lawn mower. My oldun had 12-years on it and runs fine. It just won't cut. So, I took the blades and deck off, did a little tinkering and now have a machine that will work nicely to putt-putt back into my level land thicket and save parking the truck where the deer can see it from a mile away.
The field I drive through to reach the thicket has not been cut in four years. It is at least two feet over the cab of the truck. So, I drove in and out, making a "road" and can now just slip in on the mower and keep my truck grill free of weeds and seeds and such. I built a little "thingie" to attach a drag to and hold my possibles sack with the field dressing tools and water.
Main obstacle is going to be keeping grandson from hotrodding it.
Oh, woods are the prettiest I have seen them and the trails are deeper than I can ever recall. Should be a fun year for an old fart with no trophy desires a'tall.

That's awesome! My grandma uses an old mower to get around her place also, fixing fence checking cows and shooting pdogs.
