Archery Elk Hunt in colorado

My sons are planning to take me on an archery elk hunt in 2017 for my 75 th birthday. We have hunted before near Meeker but the area we hunted requires preference points. Any suggestions as to GMU,s or specific areas that would be good during the early season (mid-sept.). Thank you, Two Buck

That shouldn't be a problem really. If you are hunting east of Meeker, it only takes 1 point as a NR to draw a tag. Buy the point next year and you'll be good for 2017.
