I have a few spots left for next season.
100% over the past 6 years.
One on one hunts $5600.00 Two on one hunts $4500.00/hunter
tax, license, tags and NRHPF is not included.
First hunt this year is tagged out. 6 lynx in 4 days. What a monster we killed for Leland Reinier from Big Cat Taxidermy. You know this will be a world class mount when he is done with it.
Man that's a big cat.
Nice!
My is that a beautiful cat!
what would something like that weigh
Were all those lynx taken with gun or bow? How far was the normal shot? Were they all treed or did some just bay up?
Any problems bringing the hides back into the US?
Thanks
A huge tom such as this one would go 27-30 pounds. Most shots are 15 to 20 yards and both bows and 22 LR are the weapons of choice.
Here is another cranker tom with one happy hunter
NO problem bring them in to the US. We arrange the cities permit before you come.
A monster I guess!
Great thread Skinner.....keep it rolling!

I took my bear with Doug and this hunt is on my list for sure! His dogs are amazing to say the least!
Thanks Steve. 8 lynx treed in 7 days on this hunt..
Can't wait til I can do it!
Great Toms! Lots of Lynx in that area. I got a big 9 10/16" Tom in that area of B.C in Dec. 2013

Another cranker with worn out teeth
Nice ones. I really like the light colored legs on that bottom one.
" I got a big 9 10/16" Tom in that area of B.C in Dec. 2013"
Ok I hope were talking Lnyx here, how did you come up with 9 10/16" Tom?
What and how are you measureing?
Yes, a Tom Lynx. The skull measured 9 10/16".
I'm sorry, the Lynx was 8 10/16". My Bobcat was 9 10/16".
How did you measure it ? Whats the criteria or concept?
Skull size. Same as you measure a lion or bear...
Love this thread Doug! Keep it coming. I must do this!
Some great cats and an outstanding success record!!
Have they found the missing Lynx, yet?
Bowriter, not in 5 years.
HuntCell - Nick is correct, length plus width.
the latest, a great tom which was the second cat of the day. the first was treed and freed.
when do your cougar hunts kick-off.
Started a lion hunt this week. turned out on a day old tom track this morning and ended up with a female and yearling treed instead.

I need to do this. Dougs operation is second to none!

A couple from this week. A few days to try and find a big cat.
another one that took the dogs 20 miles and treed 400 yards from where we were standing.
As my dad always said... Holy cats!
What's the weight on the lion?
Beautiful cats, but a little steep for my reality. Can't be cheap to raise & train dogs that can do that kind of work!!
Definitely the first guy I'll call though, if I ever run across any Sasquatch tracks.
I never weighed that tom but he was in the 180 range.
killed another Dandy tom lynx today. Still batting 100% with any luck the streak will continue.
Congrats on a great season thus far Doug!
A great thread for sure!
Keep it rolling!

the dogs killed this one on the ground so I had to cut my tag on this one.
Great photos! Beautiful and impressive lynx. That last one has a unique look, but first couple are awesome.

Killed another great one to tag out for the week.
Is that third photo of a successful hunter happen to be Thomas Martini?
That would be The one and only Thomas Martini.
Great guy, he was here a few years back and killed a huge cougar.

A marathon walk in on Super Bowl Sunday was well worth the walk with a jumbo tom lynx treed. We did make it back home in time to see the last half.

Closed out the lynx season 12 for 12 again. We killed this last tom in rainy conditions but the dogs dug deep and pulled it off.
One of my pups Tip made it truck to tree and had a great rest on my backpack when I showed up.

I have a few two on one dates available for next December send me a message for more info or better yet send and email though my website.
Great season Doug! Congratulations! I enjoyed following along and glad you shared it with us.
Nice season. Enjoyed the pics!
caught one more great cat while looking for cougar. Without a tag we let him walk. Great looking cat though.
How high up is that cat? Looks like a guy could get a great bow shot on that lynx.
that last cat was about 15 feet above my head. If you plan on hunting lynx know where your bow shoots at 3 yards out to 15 yards. That is the biggest reason for piss poor shooting. Most bow kills are on the rough side because hunters don't know quite where to aim on close and steep shots. the target is really only about 2 inches.
Please start a link for your cougar hunts. It is fun to follow along. Thanks.
I only do a handful of cougar hunts a year. My time is mostly taken up with lynx hunting but here are a few pictures for you.
Amazing and beautiful animals
