I am rebuilding my 5 pin MBG sight by replacing all the fiber optics.

I bought a 5 multi color .019 fiber set and was curious what colors you like best and in what order.

I rebuilt a 5 pin flashpoint recently. Used primarily for eastern whitetail hunting here in South Carolina. Deer seem to love coming out right at dark so top pin is a .029 green then alternating yellow-green .019 pins. My Pure single pin sight uses a green .010 that is excellent for long range shooting. Green, green, red, green, green, green.

I like the red one at 40yds in the middle so I can quick reference which pin to use quickly if need be.

Green is by far the easiest for me to see, but making them all green can be confusing if you need to choose a pin in a hurry.

That setup is on my MBG sight.

I shoot single pin and I like green, when multiple pins, I shot green for 20 than red for 30 than the rest green. Shawn

Green. You can always paint the pin bodies so you can differentiate between yardages.

Blue doesn't halo I hear.

24-Nov-15
I hear blue is the best but also isn't as bright during low-light? That might explain why MBG doesn't offer it, I would love to give it a shot though.

My experience with blue is it is great in some light and poor in other light. I used it for while and it was so hit or missed I moved away from it.

I'm gonna have to go with ...green.

For Eyes over age 45 green is the best for minimal distortion. Learned that from our Bowsite Optometrist Genesis. I like Clutches idea of putting a different color in the 40 yard pin. C

I go green for 20, yellow for 30, red for 40 then green for 50 and yellow for 60... Green is the last pin to fade, but from what I have seen, once my red pin is gone, when looking at my bow in my hand, I can't see my 20 through the peep anyhow.... I sure as heck can't clearly see the animal against the ground, so once my red pin disappears, I don't even draw. I have a sight light, but if I put it on, I can see pins, but not the animal...

I am switching from a multipin sight to a single .29 green pin sight.

Agree with the green.

I'm with all the green guys above, other colors just don't cut it for me.

Single green pin ! Went to that this year for the first time, easy on the eyes and worked well in the field.

I agree with green, green, green, green.... Red sucks so bad that I'm surprised that sight manufacturers haven't figured it out yet. I did circa 1989!

I am 44. I stuck with red so I have another excuse when I miss.
