So how's our blood pressure these days? When I went to the leg Doc I had it taken for the 1st time in a few years. (should go sooner)
Fortunately they said it was very good for an older fart! (grin)No medications or advice, they said keep up what you're doing! Sweet news as I know I often wondered about it!
How about you?

Both parents (now deceased) and all my siblings were/are on the BP meds. Mine is fine.
I checked mine the other night after I checked my 93 year old FIL. Mine was good to go for an American. For some reason Canadians get a higher threshold. My FILs was good too.
Mine's good and low and resting heart rate is on the low side of normal too. But that stuff is just the tip of the iceberg.
I take enzymes to clear any arterial buildup and supplements to maintain good homocysteine and fibrinogen levels in the circulatory system as well.
I eat lots of red meat, salt, and drink a lot of beer and whiskey. My blood pressure is normal for a 40 year old guy 118/76. I think I will stick with my regimen for now!
At 54 my blood pressure is good, however my bad Cholesterol is another issue!
Brotsky, I had the same thoughts as you at 40. You might rethink that.
Bad cholesterol, but pulse and BP are below norms.
BP at rest is like 105/?? Docs usually take it twice and I've almost been denied giving blood.
Working out, I will get dizzy if I stand up to quick.
Interesting! I probably should have cholesterol checked too? Thanks for the heads up on that!

Got my Dad's passion for hunting and my Mom's blood pressure. Glad it wasn't the other way around!!
Depends.... varies some...
Would this be before an Obama speech or during????
Full physical with bloodwork every year! No excuses!
Paul, I assume you had your first colonoscopy at 50? Time for your second one at 60....enjoy!
My daughter took mine two weeks ago. 110/70, resting pulse is 48. I am 55.
Don't drink, eat fairly well, do like my meat. My wife makes sure I get some veggies.
Bike around 2500-2700 miles per year. Running hurts on pavement, can run dirt some. Usually don't.
Nick, I'm going to have to take the 5th! (grin)
Thanks guys, looks like most are doing well, here's to a great & healthy 2016!

Paul,
an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
I'm 77. My BP is usually around 125/68. But , my Bad c is too high
My dad had super high blood pressure. Luckily, despite me being second heaviest I have ever been with high cholesterol, my bp is good. I am over 50. Doc Checked last week and it was 117/72. I have lost 8 pounds in the last 3 weeks. Have 20 more I want to get rid of. We are having a bad snow year so I am hiking a lot more, and over the last 2 weeks have begun throwing some running into those hikes. It is helping my bp and my weight.
I need to go to the doctor. Haven't had a physical in a decade. Besides the stress of my professional career [which is off the charts] I feel good. Because I feel good I always put - off the annual check-up. I really do need to go in to see how messed up I didn't know I am....that should help my stress level. Lol
I'm one of the unlucky ones. My diet is excellent, I exercise daily, cholesterol is excellent, resting heart beat around 50, and I have high blood pressure. Nothing 20 mg of Lysinopril can't take care of. I've tried everything to lower it on my own, including no beer for 3 months and nothing has worked. It's not a big deal for me. One little pill in the morning and it keeps it under control.
97/63 The doc always asks if I'm alive...
I have been on blood pressure meds since my mid 20's. I was in the best cardio shape I have ever been in and my bp was high. Now that I am nearly 40, the Dr has lowered the milligrams of medicine to the lowest amount, but still on meds. Resting beat is in the low 50's. I exercise daily, eat OK.
