Whoi is actually using HECS?

I'm like most that don't really take much stock in camo patterns unless its ASAT. ASAT is a pattern that doesn't look like a blob at longer distances. I talked to a professional hunter (no names here, recently. He has been doing field studies and performance evaluations with HECS Stealthscreen.
Studies have shown that it blocks EM signals of your body. Thus animals are less likely to detect you.
What do you guys know about it? Who here is actually using it NOW?
Personally I wear cotton or wool as these materials absorb light at the same rate as the surrounding trees, grasses, etc.
Synthetic materials generally don't absorb at the same rate as the surroundings and thus reflect more light that could make you stand out more.

I have had it for about 2 years. But, I only want it for the lightweight fabric in the hot seasons we have in AZ. Not putting into the reason it was "designed" for.
Unless it prevents human scent it's no more effective than hanging a crystal around your neck. Great marketing scheme, though.
I don't wear HECS, yet every year I have animals at point-blank range that don't know I'm there. I had a 5x bull step over my outstretched leg while sitting. Had to lift a nocked arrow to keep an elk from hitting the broadhead. If you've followed my live muley hunts you've seen photos of bucks I've called in to a few feet, which then wandered off unalarmed.
If I wore HECS I could attribute it all to that, and I have tons of photos to "prove" it.
Well you don't have to prove it to me Jaquomo. lol I've been able to touch elk before.
I have on other occasions had animals resist encounters for no reason despite the wind in my favor. An Elk or deer called in are "central minded", they are approaching with a purpose, which is the best way to get them. They are expecting something other than what's there.
A stillhunt stalk may be a different story. But then I've waited to shooting light only to realize there's a bachelor herd of mulies all around me.
Talk to me about calling in deer Lou. Where should I start to learn something? Its always anticlimactic for me.
I generally down my elk in the first week and then go through withdrawals. Its always anticlimactic for me.
I could still go up and practice calling deer.
No doubt the Hec's is a bit of a Hoax! (grin) Mike sent me one to try out & I did like the shirt part of it but I knew in my heart it was a gimmick. I too have been around all sorts of animals very close up & the best thing a hunter can do is watch that wind! You must have it in your favor at all times!
Here I am wearing the Hecs shirt last year!

Someone using it. lol Thanks Paul. I wasn't going to buy anything. I don't need much to hunt with. It was more curiosity on the science.
My wife works for Cabelas so I get to meet a lot of interesting characters.
That's three experienced hunters. Good enough for me.
Ha Ha, I have to be honest & say I do not have it any longer. I gave the entire Pants, Shirt , gloves & headnet set to another bowsiter, he said he'd like to try it out, hope it helps him out! (grin)

Cj I've published a couple articles on muley calling but the best resource will probably be to do a Bowsite search on "prairie muley rut hunt" and follow that thread or one of the others. I mouth call and rattle with pretty good success.
Don't want to hijack the thread off important stuff like EM emanations!
:) I would like to see one of those bad ass whitetail stillhunters try them. My dad was a stillhunter and liked to shoot them when they are in their bed.
There isn't any way possible to prove that this stuff does what it claims to do. Pure gimmick.
If a company came out with pointy tin foil hats, some guys will believe that also works.
P.T Barnum was right...
When I was ten I saved my paper route money to buy a fishing lure that had a rattle as it went through the water. If you bought one you could throw out all your other lures. It didn't work very well.
I think those successful with this suit may just naturally have "low EM signals" in their bodies!
Will Jake change his name to Jenny?
Yep, it's just like "low T". Animals can recognize you as a "passive soul" and approach without fear!!
It that what's happening to Jake? Last time I saw him I swore he looked like a 6' 6" Bea Arthur.
It's been said that "A fool and his money are easily parted". HECS has made enough money to be able to produce and air a TV show so someone has to be buying it. Build it and they will buy it.
Brought to you by the makers of the Banjo Minnow. :)
Agree with Pat on this... This is NOT a hecs moment in the pic ;-)
From what I have seen it may have a slight effect on birds, but only ones which migrate and at that it would be very minimal. Garbage in other words. Shawn
I'm on the hoax wagon on this one and years of knowing "Slinky" (the owner) when he lived here close to me and shot 3D targets tells me to save my $$$. He was always one to tell everyone else what the latest and greatest gadget was back in the 90's. I don't buy it and cannot even watch their infomercial TV show.
I have my HECS underwear on right now. In fact I have to wear it all the time. If I don't all of the mojo that escapes my nether regions has me fighting off beautiful young women all day long and I can't get any work done. I'm a believer, since I've been wearing it I can't even get my wife to have any interest in me.
It could be Razorhead that the technology is actually in its infancy. The first compound bow was patented in 1966 and was called a bow with a "force multiplier".
I guess some would look at it, if successful, as cheating. But then there were some that thought compounds were cheating. If you don't hunt with a spear if could be considered cheating. lol
CJ, it very well could be in its infancy. The next iteration could be battery powered to provide a negative EM force field. But unless it also somehow eliminates scent, I still don't understand how it can be effective.
Now, if they combine an Ozonics unit in the thing..... Maybe like a camo space suit...
You have to give those HECS guys credit...they could probably sell ice to Eskimos.
Most guys are smart enough to understand the difference between the shark comparisons, right?
1) If the air conducted electricity like water we all would be electrocuted by now
2) Show me the line of nerve sensors down an elks back again, grin
The only possible reason for purchase; Should i buy one to become part of the inevitable class action lawsuit?
I'm definitely tracking with you Jaquomo. Swirling wind has blown more set ups for me than anything else combined.
I am not saying that I believe in the product. I have only seen it advertised a few times. But it seems that many are quick to dispute anything that they do not understand. I guess this can be equated to the bandwagon effect.
I definitely think that everything gives off energy of some kind, including humans, animals, inanimate objects, etc. I also believe that some people, or in this case, some animals, are more in tune to perceive and recognize this energy.
I also agree that without scent control, it is already a losing game. But, who's to say that it definitely works, or definitely, without a doubt, does not work. I believe that until we are able to completely, one hundred percent, envelope ourselves, with some sort of anti-energy, odor eliminator, that nothing will be one hundred percent effective.
I believe that we as hunters, are undoubtedly, scientifically on the cusp of a lot of technology, that could make hunting almost too easy, but I also believe we have a long way to go to get to that one hundred percent effectiveness. Think about all of the advances that when first presented to the market, were mocked and belittled, only to have further advances, create products that the majority of todays hunters would not venture into the field without.
I'll take two, Mr. Barnum.
