Whitetail Deer

Ward's Outfitters has opening on some of the Best Coues Deer ranches in Sonora Mexico. We want to put together a week of Bowsite Members to hunt our best ranch. Hunting will consist of sitting water holes, small food plots, feeders, spot and stalk and calling. the ranch is 30k acres, and is absolutely loaded with stud Coues deer. The hunt dates are January 24-28.
How is the safety factor hunting in Mexico? We always hear horror stories of kidnappings and drug wars along the border but I wasn't sure of a concern that actually is. Looks to be a great hunt.

Its safe , we are not hunting near the border and are not in bad areas. I always tell hunters this , you wouldn't hang out in the hood at midnight in just about any big city even in the U.S.A. We avoid being in the big towns and really the only time we are even near the big city is when we are picking up clients, we then drive to the ranch and you are in paradise, no more than 6 hunters hunting over 30k acres at the same time. Oh and if it kind of helps clear the worry, I take my kids down to hunt in Mexico every year.
Great information, thanks.
How much for said Bonanza?
Steven,
Could you send me one too. Thanks
I'm in let's do it. I need a good buck. The one I got was small!
Beware of Steven Ward, I was once just a normal Eastern Whitetail hunter, now thanks to him I think 90 inch deer are big and all I think about is the desert and Coues deer. You have been warned.

Being safe in Mexico. Four years ago two of us traveled south from Nogalus Mexico and drove 180 miles SE to our hunting camp, half of that was following our contact to the ranch. Traveled during the day. Stayed on the main roads.
Clearing the boarder was quick and easy, (no firearms were carried)
Same size ranch in the middle of "no-where". Good accommodations but a DIY hunt. Both were successful.
Return was easy with no issues. Cleared the Mexican check points and US Fish and Wildlife check point within minutes (as long as the meat/cape/antlers/skull are properly prepared to cross back into the US.
Have fun, Mex has some great bucks.
Don't Miss out guys 5 spots available!!!!
lets do this guys its a great hunt and you will be in Good Hands
PM me too. My hunting partner and I are looking for something.
Here are a few Mex Coues bucks that i took pictures of a few years ago and near where Steve has his lease.
I missed this first one at 25 yards. He might have scored near 120PY
Fun times. Paul
the one I ended up killing.
Remember, the temps will be in the mid to upper 50-60 degrees in Mex, while at home in the mid west, the temps should be 35 degrees and below with snow.
For no other reason, just a good time to get away. The rut should be in full swing.

it's a no brainer guys if you want to harvest a great coues buck you better get on board, these hunts won't last.
Your still on my radar Steven, just with a kid graduating from College and life's other issues it may be a few years before I can make it happen.
I love Mexico-and killing a Coues deer is attop my dream hunt list.
could you pm me the price please
I too would be interested in the details on this hunt.
I'm interested. Please pm me the details
5 spots left guys don't miss out on the opportunity to harvest a great Coues deer.
Why not post the cost for everyone to see...especially if five slots are still remaining?
I have to agree with Jake. I've been watching this like a hawk since you emailed me Coues info the other day.
Costs range from $4500.00 TO $4900.00
4 spots now available , Again don't miss out
The Mex Coues bucks are cool and mighty.
The whole area down there reminded me of African hunts with short trees and thick sticker brush. When it hot, water is the key.
Good luck to those going down.
my best, Paul
Spots still available, Don't Miss out on a great hunt. Here's the deal guys , yes you might be able to hunt with someone else cheaper, but with that said you get what you pay for, We harvest quality bucks and our shot opportunity is near 100%. If you want to kill 75 to 80 inch bucks I can offer those hunts a couple grand cheaper, but heck you can kill those class of bucks anywhere. We harvest bucks 90 to over 110 with archery hunters, and our ranches are capable of producing 120" and better bucks. for these types of ranches we have to pay a premium to the ranch owner. in turn we have to charge more.
