It's all good Dave, great to keep things lighthearted these days.

The truth is we and a lot of the locals including me have been waiting three years to get back to here.

Many of the repeat guys that hunt with Xtreme have waited and passed deer.

I beleive many of the hunters this year are in for a real treat.

The best part, these are on camera now, they won't be in a few weeks as they transition, then we really get excited.

Kansas has rifle and muzz.

Illinois muzz for second gun and there is a late season muzz in December. No rifle seasons in Illinois.

So how does that work? I thought in Kansas and Illinois you had to apply like back in feb?

Do they have over the counter NR tags available now???

Red October Illinois yes, you do have to apply however there many tags left over for purchase and Ks was to release tags OTC as well.

Check each DNR for additional info.

Treestand Wolf, I've been watching you post pics of the deer on your properties for a few years now. I've definitely seen an improvement in the quality of the bucks on your properties. Great job at managing your herd! If I ever decide to use an outfitter for a whitetail hunt I believe I'd choose your operation.

The reality is many of the guys who continually hunt with us pass younger deer, that is the bonus. More importantly, many of the guys have sub leases, and or come and do both gun and bow, so they see and pass many deer.

This year will be outstanding.

Just curious Rich. What could you offer in terms of a late season hunt over a good late season food source...... say mid to late December? I doubt my work schedule will allow me the luxury of both a Sept archery elk hunt and a nov whitetail rut hunt. If I continue to strike out again in 2017 in finding my own quality lease in Kansas ( I refuse to use a 3rd party lease broker) I might would consider a late season hunt with you. Would you allow at least a 7 day hunt at a minimum. I would never consider a bow hunt with a duration any shorter than that. PM me please if you would rather chat in private. Thanks
