Had a great hunt with Forest Bows in Kansas! His wife helps with guiding a small number of Bowhunters and we had a great time tracking my buck. You may remember "It takes three Guys and a Gal to kill a deer" thread where Forest hosted my parapeligic friend John during Kansas's special physically challenged hunt in September! Super nice couple with some great Kansas deer!! Thx C
Such a beautiful morning!
Such a beautiful morning!
I hope everyone has a great opportunity this year! Truly blessed!

Buck came by trailing a doe at 13 yards! This happened on my first morning sit in Kansas but after 15 straight days of hunting in Illinois with no big boy in range. Proves you gotta keep showing up in the right place!
Like Woody Allen said, "Half of life is just showing up". Congrats.

It only lasts a few minutes but I love snapping pics of sunsets and sunrises!

Kansas has some of the best Sunsets I have ever seen! The topography is unique and the people are the heart and soul of America! Thank you Kansas! It was great being here right after the election!!
Congrats Charlie. Looks like it was a good day!
Congratulations, Charlie! That's a great buck... some seriously long tines.

With that shot placement, I'll bet he didn't run too far.
Great buck Charlie! Where to now?
You have the best threads Charlie. I'm a sunset feign myself and living in eastern Montana I have a lot of them.
Great bucks... congratulations. Ed F
Way to go Charlie. Looks like Forrest has a great operation!
Yea, yea, yea, nice buck and super sunsets, but with all of your hunting, did you get time to vote? That is the big question. :)
Inquiring minds want to know.
my best, Paul
Paul: I vote absentee every two years! Never missed a chance to vote since eligible and never voted once for a democrat:)
Awesome on both accounts, the deer and the voting record! Congrats!!

Well done Charlie, It's a beautiful buck!! Forest has a good thing going out in Kansas!!

Congrats HTC! Forest and his crew are good folks for sure. Congrats to all.
I hear he's as good as stacking rocks as he is at stacking deer...... =D
Congrats on the deer!
Which sitka gear is that you're wearing?
Nice!!!! Congrats and God Bless
Awesome buck! Love the meat pics!
That's a really nice buck Charlie ! Some good eats too.......
Bac40Hunter: I am a Sitka junkie and have most of the Elevated 11 whitetail system but that day I had the Fanatic Lite Jacket, Kelvin vest and ESW Pants.
My favorite piece of all is the Hoody which has the hood with built in face mask, hand muff and mittens. It is very well thought out for whitetail hunters.
Charlie, congrats on another great buck, you certainly deserve it. What are your plans for the rest of the season?
I love the big C for Charlie the g4 and main beam make!!!
Way to go guys. Great job Charlie. sounds like you had a great outfitter and an equally great guide!
Way to go Charlie!!!!!!!!!!
Absolutely beautiful deer - congratulations Charlie!
I've hunted a fair amount of the Midwest but nothing is quite like Kansas. The deer hunting and hunting them is unique!

Very Nice Charlie... How'd I miss this thread? Makes me want to give whitetail hunting a try...
Great buck Charlie, that's the way to hang in there! And, that's the cutest guide I have seen in a while!
You amaze me with your good fortune and talent in collecting some of the finest trophy field photos of great animals you take on here. Well done.
I'm a Sitka junkie too, but I get my hunting cloths at Walmart and Dollar General.
Nice buck though, congratulations Charlie.
Just got the report back from www.deerage.com on my Kansas buck from last November.
I had a feeling the buck was 4.5 years old and this confirms it.
In the past my two biggest rack bucks were 3.5 years old (super genetics) and my oldest Whitetail buck (actually aged) was a 140 inch 6.5 year old eight point. The actual cementum annuli aging is the only way to age accurately. C
What's it cost for their services Charlie?
Troy: Current price is $25. 1/25th of a Non-Resident Iowa deer tag:)
Thanks Charlie and congrats on the nice buck!
