what new elite bow is the best for hunting and I do a little 3d shooting, but most importantly a hunting rig.

This is where we are headed. I do not believe crossbows hunters are bowhunters, although some consider them one of the same.

Elite is going to release their 2017 line later than other manufacturers at the ATA show in January. If you are looking at 2016 Elite models, I would check out the E35, V37 or Synergy. If you like shorter brace, the Impulse 34 might be a good one.

I just ordered a v37 to replace my e35. Longer ATA and a few FPS will be nice. You can't go wrong with either of those.

I own a 2015 and a 2016 Synergy. Extremely smooth shooting. Use for both hunting and 3D. Been very satisfied.

I was shooting an Elite GT-500 and sold it for a 2016 Impulse 34. It shoots great and I like it alot

Jodie, that may where you are headed, but not me. I'll use a rifle before I'll use a crossbow. Too bulky and I'm clumsy enough without hauling an anchor around !
My E35 suits me just fine.

Don, I agree. Arrow Trade magazine has about 50% xbow adds and articles. Industry magazine pushing them hard. I have 2 E35s and like both. Answer is my go to bow just because we fit each other.

I have an Impulse 31. It's their speed bow. 6" brace and the draw cycle isn't going to be as smooth as their other bows. Not a bad draw at all, but just not as nice as their other models, which are super smooth.
I have a short draw length and wanted to make up some speed while still having a bow that shoots well. The Impulse has done that for me.
