Harleys are unique animals. Looks like a confused mule with horns. The hide makes a beautiful rug.

Mathews Man, that's a very cool pedestal of the three smaller antelopes.

Thanks Marvin- your Desert Ram is to die for! Congrats. The most memorable part of Africa to me was experiencing it with my dad. Maybe someday I'll be fortunate to return with one of my own kids or wife.

I never got the chance at one but my ole man did. They are an absolutely amazing animal and my biggest regret on not getting a chance. After knowing what I know now my list would include Kudu (got), warthog (got two) blue wildebeest (got) and red hertebeest (nope!)

My advise is what our PH and Concession Owner told me- take what mother Africa offers you-
Be informed about what constitutes a real trophy, and rely on your guides, they know what you should expect to see, and when you see something really great for their area.
Don't be a list checker- be able to take advantage when you see an animal that is truly a trophy, or difficult species to get- and bring along more than you intend to spend!

2014 Namibia. They are a most curious looking animal and you either love them or hate the look. They are not easy to do well in a taxidermy mount, along with the wildebeest.

A "wish list" is the first thing to be thrown away when arriving in Africa !! Enjoy the adventure. Africa is to the hunter what chocolates were to Forrest Gump- "You never know what you are going to get."

Crawled 200 yards through the grass to get him. At the time he would have been #3 in the archery record book.
Do yourself a favor and get out of the blind.
