Packed out my bull this year with the bush hog mower and tractor. That's a Kansas bull, we really don't know how to do it like the rest of you ridge runners...but it worked!

No horns on a this one, but it was really close to a two track in sw NM and we were able to get it in the pickup. It's nice to process it hanging as opposed to in the dirt.;)

My son, Hunter, packing out on his final day. First elk, 13 years old, 6x6. 85# kid with about 50# on his back. What a hunt we had. Thanks Cheesehead Mike for helping with the breakdown and packout. We were 5 miles into a wilderness on foot.

So Aron at Kifaru fitted Hunter for a Tahr. 3500 cubic inch pack with small waist belt and 24 inch stays. We put a couple of pockets on it and it was good to go. He carried his entire sleep system (minus the tent we shared, I carried.), all of his Sitka clothes, all of his food and water related items ( I carried the Jetboil), and all of his hunting gear. On the way down he added the skull and rack. He did an amazing job for his age. It was a very emotional hunt, but one filled with lots of laughs! Here's another pic.

Idaho elk. I let this guy borrow Bess for his packout. Elk was shot about 4 mile from trail head. Boy was he a thankful guy!

BRI nice bull and one hell of a load! Whole heads and capes weight a ton!
Cnelk you're crazy! Bone up flops all over the place and gets hung up in trees. Look at my pic again... I can swing them left right to maneuver through thick stuff and the load never moves since I have a grip on it. To each his own I suppose.
