Ill be heading to Montana for the first time this year! Was gonna do 2 elk hunts this year, but I guess I knocked the wife up and we're due the middle of august! Figured I better just do 1 hunt this year !!

Colorado otc with a group of buddies and hopefully Montana with a brother.. Probably just have a tag in Colorado tho. Also put in for Arizona for the first time so maybe I'll get lucky! ;)

yup already got the OK! I better get it in writing! When I drew my OIL Nebraska bull tag the archery season opened on sept. 15th our first kid was due oct 1st and I was 6hrs from home! Needless to say I didn't pass on any bulls I killed a 310" 5x6 the first 2 hrs of opening morning. Wish I could of held out as we have huge bulls in Nebraska!

Colorado. Draw for rifle, OTC for bow. The unit I like to hunt is A list for both bow and rifle so I have to pick which season I go elsewhere. I have a warm bed and shower for 3rd season in my preferred unit so that's why I pick it for rifle. I don't have a tent or sleeping bag for 3rd season camping.

Oregon , weird not actually hunting here last year. I hunted Wyoming and guided in Oregon. I thought if one of my hunters would fill their tag early on I could actually hunt but it didn't happen. They all missed good shots!

Montana is my back up plan. If I fail to draw a LE tag/permit anywhere (including MT) ...plan to keep the Montana general tag.

I've got about 10 low odds options, with Montana the likely fallback. Just about every state gives you some half-assed random draw chance in even their good districts now. Somebody draws those every year. So far it's never been me, but if I'm up to roughly 100 applications in 1% draw districts, I'm due to hit any time now, right? (Nope, still 1%)

I lost everything to my lazy unemployed ex 10 years ago, but learned from my mistake. Got remarried last year to my Chinese wife who will keep her condo in Sichuan, where she will live each Sept-Nov. So I got a free hunting hall pass for life. :) She does want to go turkey hunting with me, which obviously works out because she will be here in spring times.

Hopefully my own state in NM. Last tag was a Valle Vidal tag in 2013. My wife is due with our third little one Sept 24th! Yes, I know how it happens lol. I would rather skip another year of elk hunting than not have that third little one. :) It may be the last one since I'll be 40 yrs old when this one is born!
