Montana elk tag help

I am hunting units 452 and 580 both private and public land, elk and deer what do I need to apply for ( elk/deer combo general tag) and need to purchase the bow and arrow license correct. First time in Montana please help guys

If you want to hunt deer buy the Deer Elk Combo If you just going to hunt elk only buy the elk tag 452 & 480 or both general units so you should be able to pick up a tag later this summer

For 580 you will need a 900 series tag! Apply for it when you apply for general tag! Best of luck!

Huntsman is right 580 is in the 900 series you must apply by march 15th

I haven't bow hunted MT in over 15 years. What is a 900 series tag?
