I have purple dead nettle in my clover plots. It is my understanding that deer will not eat it and it seems to be coming more prevalent. Does anyone know of a way to get rid of it short of killing the whole field?

Pink dead nettle? It's hard to control. Tilling just spreads it.

Fuzzy, I think that they are similar or the same thing by a different name. I had an expert identify ours and then googled it so I do think that we have the purple but could be wrong. It has been more of a problem for us than grasses. We can disc up a food plot and replant it and the dead nettle will be right back. Right now our plots have great clover but the dead nettle is growing with it. I would like to remove the dead nettle w/o killing the clover.

yeah I think it's the same stuff. I don't think there is any way to kill it out without taking the clover out too. Discing makes it worse
