How do you find draw results? I typed in CID number and date of birth for search but it shows no results. Is there another page that shows who drew elk tags? Thank you!

Big Dog, the "official" results aren't out yet but you can check the "backdoor" method. It will not tell you which choice you drew but will tell you if you have an elk tag on file or not. If you only applied for one choice then you know what tag you drew. To check this go into the tab which says buy/apply. Then go in as if you were wanting to purchase tags again. After entering all your information click the Bottom of the page where it says habitat stamp/other licenses. Then scroll down to where it says "products you already have on file". If you see the code 580 elk or 581 elk then you drew a tag. If you still have a 400 code only for elk the no go.

Not to be a naysayer, but a NR hoping to draw 61 archery elk with 20 points may end up disappointed. That point pool was 2 for 36 last year and 2 for 34 the prior year. That hunt continues to have some of the most severe NR point creep of any hunt in the state. Unless demand falls off, that pool may only draw a few tags again. But hang in there nonetheless, you still might get lucky!

055 means non res otc elk tag on file. 054 means otc res elk on file. That happens when you select not to receive a refund, rather you opted to receive an otc tag if UNSUCCESSFUL.

surfnturf, I believe that is an Over-The-Counter (OTC) tag. So you probably didn't draw the unit you wanted but got the OTC based on your selection for an OTC tag rather than a refund.

Thanks, I do have to admit it was a rifle tag. My wife doesn't bowhunt and she drew too. Even though we'll be rifle hunting instead of bowhunting I still consider it a win when you're wife wants to go on an elk hunt for our 37th Anniversary trip

we're locked in, just don't know what unit yet. We put down a 2nd choice that is relatively easy to draw. Just barely in the window for 1st choice, so banking on 2nd at this point. If not will be pleasantly surprised.

Stats are published. For 61 archery elk, not surprisingly, the point creep continues. The NR pool with 20pp this year went 6 for 42. They were 2 for 34 two years ago and 2 for 36 last year. At that rate, the group one point behind them could have another 7 or 8 years to wait before having a slim chance to draw....yikes!

I saw that coming last year. At my age I decided to use my 20 pts on a rifle hunt. I would have loved to bowhunt but I'd be pushing 68 by then if I live that long. LOL
