What’s your biggest one to date, Pat? How big can they get there?
I killed one in Iowa in the late 70s that weighed 45#. Huge for here. Most here probably average around 30 or so.

That's what I would like Pat. I'm partial to 16 inch barrell ARs. I'd like to suppress mine. Just haven't wanted to jump through the hoops for it.
A shorty in 300 BO with a suppressor would be the cats ass.

Pat, my night time setup is an ATN Night Arrow conventional night vision good to about a 100 yards on a dark night. On near full moon nights, it's probably good to farther than I want to shoot. What's the useable range on the X-sight ?

I bought a 308 Savage Hog rifle several yrs ago that is set up for a suppressor, it is a no nonsense bolt action that cannot screw up in the brush. The reviews came from hog hunters in the south hunting around residential area at night, short barrel works really well in the brush, especially the crap I have to hunt in, it is balance well for the weight and the recoil isn't much. For the money check it out, one shot one kill. Nice yote and video.

In Ohio we are not held back by anti-gun legal problems. When I built my 300 BO AR this year I went with a 10.5" barrel on a pistol registered receiver and installed a arm brace. It shoots sub sonic and regular velocity loads with no problem. I bought a multi caliber suppressor and the ATF paper works is being processed. That way I can use the multi caliber suppressor on my 22LR, 223, 300 BO and my 460 S&W Mag TC Encore rifle barrel. I do all my own reloading and am a reload developer for a local ammo company.
